Abstract
A resistance exercise band comprising an elongated elastic band including an uneven surface on each of top and bottom surfaces, the uneven surfaces and the elastic band being formed integrally, each of the uneven surfaces including a plurality of concaved uneven zones and a plurality of ridges positioned on borders of the uneven zones forming a crisscross pattern.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to resistance band and more particularly to a resistance exercise band for exercising purposes.


BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Nowadays, people are stressed by their heavy work load. Thus, yoga is a great choice for people to maintain a balanced metabolism, improve muscle strength and mental well-being, increase flexibility, boost immunity and providing relief. It benefits one's body physically and mentally. For beginners, yoga postures do not need any elastic bands or other aiding tools. It can be easily done by following instructions and adequate practice afterwards. However, when facing more advanced postures, aiding tools may be needed for learning. Conventionally, towels are a common tool for yoga sessions. Students hold two ends of the towel to stretch the towel or hold the towel by their foot and hand. Nevertheless, if the towel is not gripped tightly enough, the student may slip and pull a muscle easily causing sport injury.


Thus, the need for improvement still exists.


SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore one object of the invention to provide a resistance exercise band comprising an elongated elastic band including an uneven surface on each of top and bottom surfaces, the uneven surfaces and the elastic band being formed integrally, each of the uneven surfaces including a plurality of concaved uneven zones and a plurality of ridges positioned on borders of the uneven zones forming a crisscross pattern.


The invention has the following advantages and benefits in comparison with the conventional art: The uneven surface is on each of top and bottom surfaces of the elastic band, and formed integrally. Each of the uneven surfaces includes the concaved uneven zones and the ridges positioned on borders of the uneven zones forming the crisscross pattern. Thus, the resistance exercise band is breathable and slip resistant. When exercising, friction between a user's hand and the resistance exercise band increases, avoiding the user to let go of the resistance exercise band and pull a muscle easily. Furthermore, the uneven surfaces increase strength and toughness of the resistance exercise band, preventing the resistance exercise band to break easily.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 7, a resistance exercise band in accordance with the invention comprises the following components as discussed in detail below.


A resistance exercise band comprising an elongated elastic band 10 including an uneven surface 20 on each of top and bottom surfaces, the uneven surfaces 20 and the elastic band 10 being formed integrally, each of the uneven surfaces 20 including a plurality of concaved uneven zones 22 and a plurality of ridges 21 positioned on borders of the uneven zones 22 forming a crisscross pattern. Therefore, strength and toughness when stretching the resistance exercise band are increased. The possibility of breaking also decreases. Moreover, the elastic band 10 is made of synthetic rubber, natural rubber or thermoplastic rubber.


Referring to FIG. 6, the uneven surfaces 20 and the elastic band 10 are formed integrally, so when extending the elastic band 10 with a pulling force exerted lengthwise, the square-shaped uneven surfaces 20 will extend to rectangular-shaped uneven surfaces 20A. Again, strength and toughness when stretching the resistance exercise band are increased.


The uneven surface 20 is on each of top and bottom surfaces of the elastic band 10, and formed integrally. Each of the uneven surfaces 20 includes the concaved uneven zones 22 and the ridges 21 positioned on borders of the uneven zones 22 forming the crisscross pattern. Thus, the resistance exercise band is breathable and slip resistant. When exercising, friction between a user's hand and the resistance exercise band increases, and will avoid the user letting go of the resistance exercise band and pull a muscle easily. Furthermore, the uneven surfaces 20 increase strength and toughness of the resistance exercise band, preventing the resistance exercise band to break easily.


While the invention has been described in terms of preferred embodiments, those skilled in the art will recognize that the invention can be practiced with modifications within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.

  • 1. A resistance exercise band, comprising: an elongated elastic band including an uneven surface on each of top and bottom surfaces, the uneven surfaces and the elastic band being formed integrally, each of the uneven surfaces including a plurality of concaved uneven zones and a plurality of ridges positioned on borders of the uneven zones forming a crisscross pattern.
  • 2. The resistance exercise band of claim 1, wherein the elastic band is made of synthetic rubber, natural rubber or thermoplastic rubber.
