Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to the field of communication, and specifically, to a resource coexistence method and apparatus.
With the continuous improvement of radio technology, a large number of various radio services have emerged. Apart from cellular services between base stations and terminals, systems such as long term evolution (LTE) and new radio (NR) also include services like vehicle to anything (V2X), abbreviated as LTE V2X or LTE-V or LTE sidelink in LTE, and NR V2X or NR-V or NR sidelink in NR. A communication link for V2X services is called a sidelink (SL). When there is a need for service transmission between devices, service data between the devices is transmitted directly from a data source device to a target device without being forwarded by other network devices, namely direct communication between the devices. The device refers to user equipment (UE) with V2X functionality. SL can be categorized into three main communication scenarios: a first scenario (in coverage) where both the data source device and the target device are within the coverage of the base station; a second scenario (partial coverage) where one of the data source device and the target device is within the coverage of the base station while the other device is outside the coverage of the base station; and a third scenario (out of coverage) where both the data source device and the target device are outside the coverage of the base station. SL can also be divided into two main communication modes: a first mode (abbreviated as a mode 3 in LTE and a mode 1 in NR), where a resource for the device to send a sidelink signal comes from the scheduling of the base station; and a second mode (abbreviated as a mode 4 in LTE and a mode 2 in NR), where the device autonomously selects a resource from a network-configured or preconfigured resource pool based on a resource selection strategy. The resource selection strategy mainly includes a sensing mechanism, a partial sensing mechanism, and a random selection mechanism.
In a V2X deployment scenario involved in the latest NR system, it is necessary to consider the coexistence of LTE V2X and NR V2X devices within the same frequency resource, and the same frequency resource generally refers to the same carrier, the same band, etc. To achieve the coexistence of two different types of devices within the same frequency resource, a mechanism is needed to effectively utilize the resource without negatively impacting their operation and to avoid interference during resource coexistence.

In some examples, the memory 104 may further include memories which are remotely set relative to the processor 102, and these remote memories may be connected to the mobile terminal through a network. The examples of the above network include, but are not limited to, an Internet, an intranet, a local area network, a mobile communication network, and a combination thereof.

A specific example of the above network may include a wireless network provided by a communication provider of the mobile terminal. In an example, the transmission device 106 includes a network interface controller (NIC) which may be connected with other network devices through a base station so as to communicate with the Internet. In an example, the transmission device 106 may be a radio frequency (RF) module configured to communicate with the Internet in a wireless manner.

In an exemplary embodiment, the level of interference is divided through a following method: dividing one or more interference levels based on one or more thresholds, where the threshold at least includes one of the following: received signal power and received signal strength.
In an exemplary embodiment, when the LTE V2X and the NR V2X coexist using a method of time division multiplexing (TDM) and there is a resource conflict or interference between the LTE V2X and the NR V2X, a set of NR V2X time resources is selected from a plurality of sets of preconfigured NR V2X time resources. In this embodiment, three types of time resource areas may be divided, corresponding to resources used only for the LTE V2X, resources used only for the NR V2X, and resources shared for both the LTE V2X and the NR V2X.
In this embodiment, the preferred granularity of the time resources is a mini-slot or a short-slot, a slot, a subframe, a half-frame, and a radio frame.

In this embodiment, device assistance is adopted to avoid the resource conflict or interference caused by the coexistence of LTE V2X and NR V2X resources.
Specifically, a second device measures a service load condition and reports the service load condition to a first device (a base station or a terminal device), or a physical layer of the second device reports the service load condition to a high layer above the physical layer of the second device, and the high layer of the first device or the second device reconfigures or reselects the LTE V2X and NR V2X resources.
In this embodiment, the service load condition may be determined by measuring a channel busy ratio (CBR) or evaluating a channel occupancy ratio (CR).
In this embodiment, the content reported by the second device may include at least one of the following: whether there is a resource conflict, the type of resource conflict, whether there is interference, the type of interference, the level of interference, a time-frequency resource location of the interference, a desired or candidate time-frequency resource location, whether to reduce desired power, and a power absolute value or a power relative value of the desired power reduction.
In this embodiment, available resources are used for the LTE V2X to avoid the resource conflict or interference caused by the coexistence of LTE V2X and NR V2X resources.
Specifically, the NR V2X module decodes SCI used for scheduling the NR V2X and determines whether there are available resources in subsequent resources based on a monitoring result. Alternatively, the NR V2X module decodes NR V2X SCI of other nodes, and the LTE V2X module decodes LTE V2X SCI of the other nodes. The NR V2X module combines monitoring results, and the LTE V2X module obtains the monitoring results, such as whether there are available subchannel resources. If available, these resources are used for LTE V2X transmission.
In this embodiment, the NR V2X module decodes SCI used for scheduling the LTE V2X and determines whether there are available resources in subsequent resources based on a monitoring result, such as whether there are available subchannel resources. If available, these resources are used for NR V2X transmission.
