This request for a utility model has as its object a reusable bag for shopping carts. More specifically a strap to which a reusable bag is fixed using pressure or needlework, this bag to be fixed in shopping carts through gravity in order to substitute plastic bags or bags made of other disposable material during shopping in supermarkets.
Traditional disposable plastic bags used for carrying goods in supermarkets are well known as well as returnable bags that are not fitted to the shopping cart.
Regarding the large utilization of traditional bags, certain drawbacks should be considered, as for instance, the fact that they are not biodegradable and take hundreds of years to be decomposed by the environment, causing irreversible ecologic harms.
Another problem is the fact that these plastic bags or other disposable bags are reused to store domestic garbage and then discarded in sanitary landfills or abandoned in the environment.
Another problem with the already existent reusable bags is that they cannot be easily fitted into the shopping carts.
The persons involved, retail stores and consumers, are lead to search for alternatives to substitute traditional bags.
In light of these problems and in an attempt to overcome them, a reusable bag has been developed to be fitted to conventional shopping carts. Being reusable for several years, the model object of the current request is more economical than plastic bags or other disposable packaging.
The script intended for the use of this utility model consists in taking them empty to the supermarket in the desired amount according to the purchasing volume or according to the internal cubic capacity of the cart. The purchases are made in a selective manner, separating non-compatible products such as food and cleaning chemicals, placing them inside the empty bags. After completing his/her purchases, the person goes to the check out counter, where the goods are placed on the conveyor belt, thus emptying the bags, and preparing said same reusable bags to be re-filled with the goods after payment.
The bag, object of this request for utility model, is composed of two parts: a strap and a bag. This strap has sections at its extremities or in its central section, which enable quick engaging through gravity to the lateral longitudinal frame inside the carts. They are easily removed from the cart after shopping.
The utility model may be more easily understood through the detailed description together with the attached figures:
Pursuant to what is illustrated in the above-mentioned figures related to the reusable bag, the object of the current utility model includes a strap (10) which has a flat surface with an area that fits the hand (11), two diametrically opposite and round holes (12) for fixation to a frame in order to keep the bag in an upright position, facilitating the placement of goods, two horizontal openings diametrically opposite (13) for insertion of the reusable bag projection, an elevated area (14) for central engaging of the bag on the lateral border of the cart and two lateral and diametrically opposite hooks (15) for engaging of the edge of the reusable bag on the shopping cart, a reusable bag made of synthetic or natural cloth (17) with two extremities (16) that engage the straps where they are fixed by sewing or by pressure buttons or other closing processes.
Obviously the bag may be obtained in different sizes and capacities so as to comply with different needs and cart sizes.
