Claims
- 1. A return mailer comprising:
- an outgoing configuration comprising a plurality of plies, including a first ply having outgoing address indicia readily visible thereon, at least one insert ply, a second ply, and a third ply, said third ply having a first face visible in said outgoing configuration, and a second face opposite said first face and not visible in said outgoing configuration;
- a sealing agent associated with one of said plies of said outgoing configuration for sealing plies of a reply configuration together;
- said third ply having reply address indicia printed thereon on said second face, said third ply pivotally mounted at a portion thereof to one of said first and second plies; and
- a reply configuration including said first, second, and third plies disposed with respect to each other so that said third ply is pivoted about said pivot portion thereof to a position wherein said second face of said third ply is readily visible, and said outgoing address is no longer visible, said third ply cooperating with said sealing agent to form a reply envelope.
- 2. A mailer as recited in claim 1 wherein said sealing agent comprises tape covered by a release sheet.
- 3. A mailer as recited in claim 1 wherein said sealing agent comprises rewettable glue.
- 4. A mailer as recited in claim 1 wherein said second ply is sandwiched between said first and third plies in said outgoing configuration, said third ply pivoted to a face of said second ply opposite said first ply, and said first ply is sandwiched between said third ply reply address portion and said second ply in said reply configuration.
- 5. A mailer as recited in claim 4 wherein said third ply has a length substantially less than said second ply, and is connected to said second ply in said outgoing configuration remote from an edge of said second ply by a line of adhesive, said third play having a perforation adjacent said line of adhesive.
- 6. A mailer as recited in claim 5 wherein said third ply is pivotally connected to said second ply adjacent an edge of said second ply by a line of adhesive.
- 7. A mailer as recited in claim 1 further comprising a fly sheet initially covering said first ply, and having image transfer means for transferring said outgoing address indicia to said first ply when said fly sheet is impacted.
- 8. A mailer as recited in claim 1 wherein said third ply has a length of roughly about half of said first ply, and is pivotally connected to said first ply adjacent, but spaced from, said outgoing address.
- 9. A mailer as recited in claim 8 wherein said sealing agent is on said second ply, and wherein a portion of said first ply is removable to allow said third ply first face to be brought into contact with said sealing agent in said reply configuration.
- 10. A mailer as recited in claim 8 wherein said third ply is pivotally connected to said first ply with a line of adhesive, and a score line formed in said third ply adjacent said line of adhesive.
- 11. A mailer as recited in claim 8 wherein said sealing agent is formed on said second ply adjacent an edge thereof remote from said first ply, and is pivotally connected to said second ply so that it may be pivoted to a position in sealing association with said third ply in said reply configuration.
- 12. A return mailer comprising:
- a top ply having first and second side edges, and a first perforation adjacent said first side edge;
- outgoing address indicia printed on said top ply closer to said first side edge than said second side edge;
- a second ply having first and second side edges, and a first perforation adjacent said first side edge, and approximately the same dimensions as said top ply, said second ply having a sealing agent disposed on the face thereof closest to said top ply, generally in the vicinity of said first perforation;
- a third ply pivotally connected adjacent to a first side edge thereof to the face of said top ply opposite said second ply, and having a first face closest to said top ply, and a second face opposite said first face;
- said pivotal connection between said third and top plies provided by pivotally connecting means for connecting said top and third plies together for pivotal movement along a line between said outgoing address indicia and said top ply second side edge;
- reply address indicia printed on said third ply first face; and
- a line of adhesive connecting said third ply to said top ply so that second side edges thereof are in substantial alignment, and a perforation formed in said third ply adjacent said line of adhesive and between said line of adhesive and said first side edge of said third ply.
- 13. A mailer as recited in claim 12 wherein said sealing agent comprises tape covered by a release sheet.
- 14. A mailer as recited in claim 12 wherein said sealing agent comprises rewettable glue.
- 15. A mailer as recited in claim 12 wherein said sealing agent is on said second ply, and wherein a portion of said first ply is removable to allow said third ply first face to be brought into contact with said sealing agent in said reply configuration.
- 16. A mailer as recited in claim 12 wherein said sealing agent is formed on said second ply adjacent an edge thereof remote from said first ply, and is pivotally connected to said second ply so that it may be pivoted to a position in sealing association with said third ply in said reply configuration.
- 17. A mailer as recited in claim 12 wherein said pivotally connecting means comprises a line of adhesive, and a score line in said third ply adjacent said line of adhesive.
