Claims
- 1. A reversible image-forming material capable of forming images by a thermal head and conversely erasing the formed images by water or moisture which comprises a support having provided on one surface thereof a recording layer comprising at least one color former selected from the group consisting of a fluorane compound represented by general ##STR5## wherein R.sub.3 represents a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom, an amino group (represented by formula: ##STR6## wherein R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each represents a hydrogen atom, a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a lower aliphatic acyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a benzoyl group, a phenyl group and a benzyl group; and the benzene rings of these substituents may further be substituted with a halogen atom, a nitro group, a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and a lower aliphatic alkoxy group having 1 to 2 carbon atoms) and an alicyclic amino group (represented by formula: ##STR7## wherein R.sub.7 represents a butylene group --(CH.sub.2).sub.4 --, a pentylene group --(CH.sub.2).sub.5 -- or a diethylene ether group --(CH.sub.2).sub.2 --O--(CH.sub.2).sub.2 --); X' represents a hydrogen atom, a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a halogen atom or a lower aliphatic alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; m represents an integer of 1 or 2; Y represents a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and a lower aliphatic alkoxy group having 1 to 2 carbon atoms; and n represents an integer of 1 or 2; at least one color developer selected from the group consisting of gallic acid and phloroglucinol; and a binder and further having provided an overcoat layer on said recording layer.
- 2. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 1 wherein said binder is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of hydroxypropyl cellulose, cellulose acetate and ethyl cellulose.
- 3. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 1 wherein said overcoat layer is polystyrene resin.
- 4. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 1 wherein said support is resin-laminated base papers.
- 5. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 4 wherein said support is a support laminated with polyethylene resin on one surface or both surfaces thereof.
- 6. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 1 wherein said support is a transparent resin film.
- 7. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 1 wherein said support is a resin film coated with a white pigment onto the back surface thereof.
- 8. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 1 wherein a sticking prevention layer is provided on said overcoat layer.
- 9. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 8 wherein said sticking prevention layer comprises a pigment, a lubricant and a binder.
- 10. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 9 wherein said pigment for said sticking prevention layer is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of colloidal silica and colloidal alumina.
- 11. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 9 wherein said lubricant for the sticking prevention layer is a metal soap type lubricant.
- 12. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 9 wherein said binder for the sticking prevention layer is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of ethyl cellulose, cellulose acetate and hydroxyethyl cellulose.
- 13. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 1 wherein said support is a non-transparent support.
- 14. A reversible image-forming material capable of forming images by a thermal head and conversely erasing the formed images by water or moisture which comprises a support having provided on one surface thereof a recording layer comprising at least one color former selected from the group consisting of a fluorane compound represented by general formula (II): ##STR8## wherein R.sub.3 represents a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom, methyl group, methoxy group, chloro, an amino group (represented by formula: ##STR9## wherein R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each represents a hydrogen atom, a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a lower aliphatic acyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a benzoyl group, a phenyl group and a benzyl group; and the benzene rings of these substituents may further be substituted with a halogen atom, a nitro group, a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms and a lower aliphatic alkoxy group having 1 to 2 carbon atoms) and an alicyclic amino group (represented by formula: ##STR10## wherein R.sub.7 represents a butylene group --(CH.sub.2).sub.4 --, a pentylene group --(CH.sub.2).sub.5 -- or a diethylene ether group --(CH.sub.2).sub.2 --O--(CH.sub.2).sub.2 --); X' represents a hydrogen atom, a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a halogen atom or a lower aliphatic alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; m represents an integer of 1 or 2; Y represents a lower aliphatic alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a lower aliphatic alkoxy group having 1 to 2 carbon atoms, and a halogen atom; and n represents an integer of 1 or 2; at least one color developer selected from the group consisting of gallic acid and phloroglucinol; and a binder and further having provided an overcoat layer on said recording layer.
- 15. A reversible image-forming material according to claim 14 wherein said color former is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of compounds described below:
