Claims
- 1. A method of rinsing articles to remove an adhering substance, particularly subsequent to chemical or electrochemical surface treatment of the articles, comprising the steps of
- positioning an article to be rinsed in a confined space;
- spraying a rinsing agent onto the article at a pressure of between substantially 2 and 6 bar for a first period of time corresponding to between substantially 0.1 and 5 seconds to remove an adhering substance from a surface of the article with keeping the surface intact;
- terminating the spraying and allowing the rinsing agent to run off the article for a second period of time corresponding to between substantially 1 and 10 seconds and which is at least substantially equal to or greater than said first period; and
- repeating the spraying and terminating steps with the same time periods.
- 2. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein different quantities of rinsing agent are used during different spraying steps.
- 3. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the quantities of rinsing agent sprayed onto the article during different spraying steps are varied by changing the length of said first perid of time during the respective spraying steps.
- 4. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the spraying is carried out with water as the rinsing agent.
- 5. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the steps of terminating comprise directing a blast of pressurized gas against the article to facilitate running-off of the rinsing agent.
- 6. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein each step of spraying is carried out by directing sprays from opposite sides against the article, the sprays from one side being time-delayed with reference to the sprays from the other side.
- 7. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein each step of spraying is carried out by directing sprays from opposite sides against the article, and comprising the step of varying the position of the sprays relative to the article.
- 8. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the spraying is carried out with an aqueous rinsing agent.
- 9. A method of rinsing articles to remove an adhering substance particularly subsequent to chemical or electrochemical surface treatment of the articles, comprising the steps of positioning an article to be rinsed in a confined space; spraying a rinsing agent onto the article at a pressure of 3.5 bar for a first period of 1.5 seconds to remove an adhering substance from a surface of the article with keeping the surface intact; terminating the spraying and allowing the rinsing agent to run off the article for a second period of 5 seconds and repeating the spraying and terminating steps with the same time periods.
