Abstract
RipTide Angel Drowning Prevention Suit is a mechanical invention developed from a conversation about the effects of inclement weather while at the beach and concern for the safety of our special-needs family member prompting the idea. This invention provides the consumer with additional time to react in saving a person who may be caught in a riptide due to inclement weather, etc. enabling them to be pulled back to safety by a rope-like device that remains on land within the hand of another person in case there is a riptide or strong wave that pulls the individual in the ocean further out to sea. This practical product may reduce the incidence of riptides carrying the adult or a child offshore and possibly drowning.
Description

The RipTide Angel Drowning Prevention Suit is not a guaranteed lifesaver, it is an assistant to possible victims of drowning, an enabler for those who are afraid of water, or an extension of safety for anyone who's skeptical of allowing a loved one to enter water/pool. It's a precaution/helper in case the unthinkable happens.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The RipTide Angel Drowning Prevention Suit is a swimsuit attached to a long webbing strap with loops that will assist in pulling the consumer back to shore possibly with the aid of other onlookers. This invention is more practical than a lifejacket as it is used with the dual purpose of a swimsuit and a life jacket in one in addition to the life-saving performance of a Cal June Ring Buoy.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

You may call it precognition/divine intervention/premonition? In April of 2017, my daughter called me to talk about her family's vacation, just like every year. Well, this time she brought up my grandson KJ, as we affectionately call him Keon Jr. named after his father. He's also autistic, very smart autistic, but KJ has the same overwhelmed sensations that most autistic adults/children have. Water is his mom's worst fear. My daughter goes on to say that in any event, God forbid, KJ gets caught in a riptide she would not hesitate to dive in with him knowing that she wouldn't come back. She said, “Mom, I couldn't let him die alone. These are the pure instincts of a mother, but while my daughter was talking I was having a vision that I was throwing them a safety line. I told her about my vision and asked her to draw the details of the vision and her being a great artist she drew my vision exactly how I saw it in my mind. After drawing it my daughter replied, “Mom you're a genius!” I said, “no baby, I'm a mother trying to save her babies with the divine merciful protection from God and his angels.” And that's how the RipTide Angel Drowning Prevention Suit was born.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

The RipTide Angel Drowning Prevention Suit is a swimsuit attached to a long webbing strap with loops that will assist in pulling the consumer back to shore possibly with the aid of other onlookers.

The RipTide Angel Drowning Prevention Suit is specifically designed to allow several precious seconds of safety to possibly save a life. The main portion of the RipTide Angel Drowning Prevention Suit resembles an average gender-neutral swimsuit. What makes the RipTide Angel Drowning Prevention Suit unique is the attachments that will help pull a child or adult back to safety. The attachment, which is a very long webbing strap with loops attached should be anchored to a person or solid structure. This invention is designed to add assistance with saving a life not otherwise possible with a consumer only wearing a simple swimsuit. This invention may be used as a sample swimsuit or as a life-saving mechanism simply by grasping loop by loop until the consumer is pulled back to shore in any water-based environment.

Future plans for modifications will allow consumers to use the RipTide Angel Drowning Prevention Suit as a flotation device approved by standard safety institutions in the United States of America. Other uses for this invention will include a simple swimsuit coverage.
