Claims
- 1. Isolated polypetide encoded by a nucleic acid molecule comprising a nucleotide sequence of an open reading frame of the nucleotide sequence; wherein the open reading frame is ORF 739f (locus GP63) as set forth in FIG. 2 (SEQ ID NO:1) and encodes a n RNA ligase.
- 2. Isolated polypeptide obtainable from bacteriophage RM 378, or an active derivative or fragment thereof;wherein the polypeptide is a 3′-5′ exonuclease, which is deposited in Rhodothermus marinus strain ITI 378 infected with bacteriophage RM 378 in the Deutsche Sammlung Von Mikroorganismen and Zelkulturen GmbH (DSMZ), accession number DSM 12831.
- 3. Isolated polypeptide of claim 2, wherein the polypeptide is a derivative possessing substantial sequence identity with the endogenous polypeptide; wherein the polypeptide is an RNA ligase.
- 4. Isolated polypeptide that possesses substantial sequence identity with an endogenous RNA ligase obtainable from bacteriophage RM 378.
