Claims
- 1. A rocker pendulum for a motor vehicle, the rocker pendulum comprising:
an elongated hollow basic body with at least one said section that forms bearing shell or forms a bearing shell receiving portion of a ball and socket joint.
- 2. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, further comprising a bearing shell, wherein said section has said bearing shell receiving portion with a bulge for accommodating said bearing shell.
- 3. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 2, wherein said bearing shell is held in said bulge by means of a press fit.
- 4. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 2, wherein said bearing shell is bonded, beaded and/or welded and/or fastened by means of a securing ring and/or a snap connection in said bulge.
- 5. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein said section forming said bearing shell has a bulge that is shell-shaped.
- 6. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein said section is an end area of said basic body.
- 7. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein both said end areas of said basic body form or have a bearing shell of a ball and socket joint.
- 8. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein said basic body is an injection molded part made of plastic.
- 9. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein said basic body is manufactured according to the extrusion blow molding process.
- 10. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein said basic body comprises two components, one of which forms said core and the other component said jacket surface.
- 11. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 10, wherein said component forming said core is made of an especially fiber-reinforced material, and the jacket component of a softer material.
- 12. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein the material of the area of the basic body forming the bearing shell is reinforced especially by embedded fibers or by ribs made integrally in one piece with it.
- 13. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein said bearing shell surrounds or extends around the joint ball by more than 180°.
- 14. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein projections, which prevent the joint ball pressed in from being lost and/or are used to fasten a sealing bellows, are made integrally in one piece with the basic body in the edge area of the shell-shaped bulge.
- 15. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein a free end of said basic body has at least one said setback at an inner and/or outer wall thereof.
- 16. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 15, wherein said setback is a circular groove, which is used to lock a fastening element.
- 17. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 15, wherein said fastening element (13) is used to fasten the rocker pendulum at a motor vehicle component.
- 18. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein the section of said basic body forming the bearing shell is flattened or made thinner compared with the middle section of said basic body.
- 19. A rocker pendulum in accordance with claim 1, wherein a sealing bellows sealingly surrounds the ball and socket joint, wherein said sealing bellows is fastened to said basic body or said bearing shell by means of a locking connection.
