The disclosure relates to footwear devices and more particularly pertains to a new footwear device for facilitating multiple pairs of slippers to be rolled up and carried in a storage pouch for emergency use. The device includes a slipper which has a sole and a vamp and a counter and the sole is comprised of a deformable material to facilitate the slipper the be rolled up. The device includes a storage pouch for carrying the rolled up slipper thereby facilitating the rolled up slipper to be unrolled and worn at any time.
The prior art relates to footwear devices including a variety of foldable sandals that each at least include a sole and a foot strap and a variety of deformable slipper devices that can each be rolled up or otherwise collapsed for storage. In no instance does the prior art disclose a deformable slipper device that includes a slipper which includes sole and a vamp and a counter and a storage pouch in which the slipper can be stored when the slipper is rolled up.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a slipper comprising a sole and a vamp and a counter such that the slipper can be worn on a foot of a user. The sole is comprised of a resiliently deformable material thereby facilitating the sole to be rolled up for storage. Each of the vamp and the counter is comprised of a deformable material thereby facilitating each of the vamp and the counter to lie flat against the sole when the sole is rolled up. A cushion is integrated into the sole to support the user's foot when the user wears the slipper. A storage pouch is provided for containing the slipper when the slipper is rolled up to facilitate the user to transport the slipper.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The vamp 16 has a first lateral edge 36 and a second lateral edge 38 each that is each coupled to a top edge 40 of a respective one of a first lateral side 42 and a second lateral side 44 of the perimeter wall 28 of the sole 14. In this way the vamp 16 forms an arch on the sole 14 when the sole 14 is unrolled. The vamp 16 has a front edge 46 and a rear edge 48 and the front edge 46 is spaced from the toe 30 of the sole 14. Furthermore, the front edge 46 curves upwardly between the first lateral side 42 and the second lateral side 44 of the perimeter wall 28 of the sole 14 to define a toe opening 50 in the vamp 16. The rear edge 48 curves upwardly between the first lateral side 42 and the second lateral side 44 of the perimeter wall 28 of the sole 14 to define a foot opening 52 in the vamp 16.
The counter 18 has a lower edge 54 and an upper edge 56 and the lower edge 54 is coupled to the top edge 40 of each of the first lateral side 42 and the second lateral side 44 of the perimeter wall 28 of the sole 14. The lower edge 54 curves around the heel 32 of the sole 14 such that the counter 18 forms a U-shape. The counter 18 extends into the foot opening 52 defined in the vamp 16 having the counter 18 terminating at a point located between the front edge 46 and the rear edge 48 of the vamp 16. The upper edge 56 has a central portion 58 curving between a pair of outward portions 60 and the central portion 58 is aligned with the heel 32 of the sole 14. Each of the outward portions 60 is aligned with a respective one of the first lateral side 42 and the second lateral side 44 of the perimeter wall 28 of the sole 14. The central portion 58 slopes downwardly between each of the outward portions 60 and an apex 62 of the curvature of the upper edge 56 to enhance extending the user's foot 20 into the foot opening 52 in the vamp 16.
A cushion 64 is integrated into the sole 14 to support the user's foot 20 when the user 22 wears the slipper 12. The cushion 64 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material, including but not being limited to memory foam or silicone, to enhance comfort for the user 22. The cushion 64 has a bottom surface 66 that is bonded to a top surface 68 of the basal panel 26 of the sole 14. The cushion 64 has a perimeter surface 70 which abuts an inwardly facing surface 72 of the perimeter wall 28 of the sole 14 along an entire perimeter of the inwardly facing surface 72 such that the cushion 64 fills the cushion space 34 defined by the perimeter wall 28.
A storage pouch 74 is included for containing the slipper 12 when the slipper 12 is rolled up to facilitate the user 22 to transport the slipper 12. The storage pouch 74 has an upper end 76 that is open into an interior of the storage pouch 74. A closure 78 is integrated into the storage pouch 74 and the closure 78 extends along a full length of the upper end 76 of the storage pouch 74. Additionally, the closure 78 is matable to itself for opening or closing the upper end 76. The closure 78 may comprise a zipper, a pair of hook and loop fasteners or any other type of mechanical, multiple use closure 78. A clasp 80 is attached to the upper end 76 of the storage pouch 74 and the clasp 80 includes a gate 82 that is pivotally integrated into the clasp 80. The gate 82 is biased into a closed position such that the clasp 80 forms a closed loop. Conversely, the gate 82 is urgeable into an open position such that the clasp 80 forms an open loop to facilitate the clasp 80 to be engaged to an object for suspending the storage pouch 74 from the object.
In use, as shown in
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, device and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
