- 9. The apparatus of claim 3 wherein the length of said nap on said cover is shorter at the base of the legs of said arch shaped cross-section than the length of the nap at the apex of the arch.
- 10. The apparatus of claim 3 wherein the length of the nap on said cover is uniform over the entire exterior surface of said cover.
- 11. The apparatus of claim 3 wherein the interior of said generally trough shaped loading grid has a plurality of protruding portions.
- 12. The apparatus of claim 3 wherein said channel has a fist end and a second end that correspond with said first and second surfaces of said hub, and said hub further comprises a first sidewall and a second sidewall extending radially from said first and second end ends of said channel respectively; and intersecting with said first and second surfaces of said hub.
- 13. A device for a loading and application apparatus for applying a liquid coating material to a surface, said apparatus comprising:
a hub having a channel communicating therethrough for insertion of a standard paint roller frame; said hub further having a first surface and a second surface; and said hub is configured such that when said hub is placed in an interior corner with said first and second surfaces in contact with the walls adjacent to said corner, there remains an open gap between said hub and said corner.
- 14. The device of claim 13 wherein said first and second surfaces are oriented at a 90-degree angle to each other.
- 15. The device of claim 14 wherein said first surface and said second surface of said hub intersect with each other and the point of intersection is rounded such that when said hub is placed in an interior corner with said first and second surfaces in contact with the walls adjacent to said corner, there remains an open gap between said point of intersection and said corner.
- 16. The device of claim 14 wherein said hub further includes a third surface and a fourth surface;
said first surface intersecting with said third surface and the interior angle formed at the corner of the intersection is less than 90 degrees; said second surface intersecting with said fourth surface and the interior angle formed at the corner by the intersection is less than 90 degrees; and said third surface further intersecting with said fourth surface such that when said hub is placed in an interior corner with said first and second surfaces in contact with the walls adjacent to said corner, there remains an open gap between said point of intersection and said corner.
- 17. A device for a loading and application apparatus for applying a liquid coating material to a surface, said apparatus comprising:
