The attaching the second stator to the first stator 11 or 211 includes attaching the second stator to the first stator 11 or 211 such that the second stator is at least partially positioned between the first stator 11 or 211 and the electrical connector 30 in the axial direction defined along the first rotational axis.
With the manufacturing method of the rotary connector device 2 or 202, the coupling the electrical connector 30 to the first stator 11 or 211 via the connector coupling portion 70 or 270 includes coupling the electrical connector 30 to the first stator 11 or 211 in a cantilever manner via the connector coupling portion 70 or 270 such that the second surface 30B becomes a free end in the state where the electrical connector 30 is positioned in the first position P1 and where the second stator is detached from the first stator 11 or 211. Thus, the position of the electrical connector 30 can be close to the first rotational axis A1 while making it easier to attach the second stator 12 to the first stator 11 or 211.
