The present invention relates to a rotatable fire pit device.
Many individuals use traditional fire pits; however, traditional fire pits are stationary and are not able to be transported. The stationary nature of traditional fire pits forces these individuals to gather at one location to use the traditional fire pit, which may be inconvenient for many of these individuals, or difficult or impossible for others for any of a plurality of reasons, such as handicap or injury. In addition, because the traditional fire pit is unable to rotate, tending a fire in the traditional fire pit is required to ensure an even burn of a fuel, such as a wood, therein. Many individuals may be unable to tend to a fire within the traditional fire pit, and the wood may burn unevenly as a result.
Therefore, there is a need in the art for a rotatable fire pit device that can easily be moved to a desired location, and rotated during use to facilitate an even burn of a fuel therein. The present invention addresses this unmet need.
Devices have been disclosed in the art that relate to fire pits. These include devices that have been patented and published in patent application publications. These devices are often inconvenient or difficult to use. In view of the devices disclosed in the art, it is submitted that there is a need in the art for an improvement to existing fire pit devices. In view of the present disclosure, it is submitted that the present invention substantially diverges in structural and functional elements from devices in the art, and substantially fulfills an unmet need in the art.
In view of the disadvantages inherent in the known types of fire pit devices in the art, the present invention provides a new and improved fire pit device, wherein the same can be utilized for providing a warmth and an enjoyment to individuals in need thereof.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a rotatable fire pit device.
In one aspect, the invention provides a rotatable fire pit device, comprising a central pole having a plurality of legs extended radially outward from a lower portion of the central pole, and a fuel pit disposed on an upper portion of the central pole, wherein the fuel pit is configured to rotate relative to the central pole.
In another aspect, the invention provides a rotatable fire pit device, having a central pole having a plurality of legs extended radially outward from a lower portion of the central pole, wherein a caster wheel is disposed on a lower portion of an outer portion of each leg of the plurality of legs. The rotatable fire pit device includes a cylindrical wall having a plurality of apertures thereon, having a circular fuel pit disposed over a bottom opening of the cylindrical wall, wherein a lower portion of the circular fuel pit is attached to an upper portion of a cylindrical belt receiver, wherein a lower portion of the cylindrical belt receiver is attached to an upper portion of the central pole. The rotatable fire pit device includes a motor assembly having a lower member attached to a portion of the central pole below the cylindrical belt receiver, wherein a motor belt is fed through the motor assembly and wrapped around a peripheral groove of the cylindrical belt receiver. An action of the motor assembly actuates a rotational movement of the motor belt, wherein the rotational movement of the motor belt actuates a rotational movement of the cylindrical belt receiver, the cylindrical wall, and the circular fuel pit. In this manner, the fire pit is rotatable about the central pole, and is movable by the caster wheels.

In some embodiments, the rotatable fire pit device includes a safety guard, attached to the rotatable fire pit device below the circular fuel pit 6 and above the motor belt 9, configured to reduce a temperature of the motor assembly 8 and the motor belt 9. In this manner, a lifespan of the motor assembly 8 and the motor belt 9 is extended, and the safety of the rotatable fire pit device is increased. The safety guard may be circular, and may be made of any material suited for its purpose, such as a metal or a ceramic.

Generally, a radial length of each leg of the plurality of legs 3 is sized to maximize a stability of the rotatable fire pit device, without sacrificing maneuverability. In the shown embodiment, the radial length of each leg of the plurality of legs 3 extends slightly beyond a radial length of the cylindrical wall. However, if a height of the cylindrical wall were to be increased, then a center of gravity of the rotatable fire pit device would be elevated. Similarly, if the radial length of the cylindrical wall would be increased, then an instability of the rotatable fire pit device would be increased. Regarding these exemplary design variations, the radial length of each leg of the plurality of legs 3 would need to be increased to maintain the stability of the rotatable fire pit device. In this manner, an exemplary design for the rotatable fire pit device is shown, and any variation of one element of the exemplary design would necessarily require careful consideration of how the variation affects other properties of the exemplary design, and this consideration may lead to one or more additional variations of one or more additional elements of the exemplary design to maximize a utility or the safety thereof.
