Claims
- 1. A stapling assembly for attachment to a machine comprising:
- a support bar having top and bottom portions and a middle portion extending between said top and bottom portions, a stapler and an air cylinder assembly;
- said bottom portion having a first portion at an angle to said middle portion and being designed to be rotatably attached to the machine such that said support bar and said stapler are rotatable about a longitudinal axis of said first portion;
- said stapler being attached to said middle portions;
- said air cylinder assembly extending between and connected near its respective ends to said machine and said top portion to cause the support bar and the stapler to rotate about the first portion when operated.
- 2. A stapling assembly for attachment to a machine according to claim 1, wherein
- said top and bottom portions are arms which are substantially in parallel.
- 3. A stapling assembly for attachment to a machine according to claim 2, wherein
- said middle portion extends diagonally between said top and bottom arms.
- 4. A stapling assembly comprising:
- a base, a bar having spaced top and bottom arms and a middle portion extending between said arms, a stapler and an air cylinder assembly;
- said bottom arm being rotatably attached to said base, said stapler being attached to said middle portion and said air cylinder assembly extending between and being connected near its respective ends to said base and said top arm.
- 5. A stapling assembly according to claim 4, wherein said top and bottom arms are substantially parallel.
- 6. A stapling assembly according to claim 5, wherein
- said middle portion extends diagonally between said top and bottom arms.
- 7. A stapling assembly comprising:
- a support bar having top and bottom arms and a middle portion extending between said top and bottom arms, a stapler and an air cylinder assembly;
- said stapler being fixedly attached to said middle portion;
- said air cylinder assembly extending between and being connected near its respective ends to a machine and said top arm for rotating the support bar and the stapler about a longitudinal axis of the bottom arm.
- 8. A stapling assembly according to claim 7
- wherein said support bar is a single, integral bar.
- 9. A stapling assembly according to claim 8
- wherein said top and bottom arms are substantially in parallel.
- 10. A stapling assembly according to claim 9
- wherein said support bar is substantially Z-shaped.
- 11. A stapling assembly according to claim 10
- wherein said stapler is rotatable between at least a rest a work position, such that when said stapler is in the work position said stapler is adjacent a work piece and when said stapler is in the rest position said stapler is spaced from the work piece.
- 12. A stapling assembly according to claim 7
- wherein said top and bottom arms are substantially in parallel.
- 13. A stapling assembly according to claim 12
- wherein said support bar is substantially Z-shaped.
- 14. A stapling assembly according to claim 13
- wherein said stapler is rotatable between at least a rest and a work position, such that when said stapler is in the work position said stapler is adjacent a work piece and when said stapler is in the rest position said stapler is spaced from the work piece.
- 15. A stapling assembly according to claim 7
- wherein said stapler is rotatable between at least a rest and a work position, such that when said stapler is in the work position said stapler is adjacent a work piece and when said stapler is in the rest position said stapler is spaced from the work piece.
