Claims
- 1. A centrifuge bucket, comprising:
a bucket body; a holder plate mounted within the body, the holder plate having a plurality of holder openings therein to receive samples; and a bottom support member having a plurality of support openings, each of the support openings precisely aligned with a holder opening.
- 2. The centrifuge bucket of claim 1, and further comprising:
an alignment post mechanism affixed to the bucket, the alignment post mechanism having a mechanism base and an alignment post attached to the base.
- 3. The centrifuge bucket of claim 2, wherein the alignment post is tapered from its largest cross-sectional area at the mechanism base to its smallest cross-sectional area at its distal end.
- 4. The centrifuge bucket of claim 2, wherein the alignment post has a rubber mating piece thereon which is tapered.
- 5. The centrifuge bucket of claim 1, wherein the bottom support member is molded epoxy.
- 6. The centrifuge bucket of claim 1, and further comprising:
a bucket stop, comprising:
a stop bracket; and a stop pin positioned to limit the rotation of the centrifuge bucket.
