Abstract
A device for safe firing is provided. The device is used in a tube of a rocket, like a shoulder-launched anti-armor rocket. The present invention has simple structure and small size. A few safety designs are used in the present invention to improve safety of the rocket tube during transportation. Those designs also prevent the rocket from misfire owing to lack of training.
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a firing device; more particularly, relates to a device for safe firing used in a tube of a rocket.

DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ARTS

A shoulder-launched anti-armor rocket used by infantry has advantages on suitable weight, easy carry, strong firepower and wide application and thus is a good weapon for the infantry. The most common rockets include U.S.-made M72 and Russia-made RPG. These two are designed to be one-shot only and then be discarded, which have reliable performances and are widely used in nations. 66 anti-armor rocket is a variety of M72. It has only one safety design. If a user were lack of training or were under a high pressure in a battle field, he may press the trigger owing to nervousness and hurt people with misfire.

U.S. Pat. No. 4,417,498 reveals a firing device; but its structure is complex, its operation is complicated and it has vertical and horizontal components occupying big space.

Hence, the prior arts do not fulfill all users' requests on actual use.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main purpose of the present invention is to use a few safety designs to improve safety of a rocket tube during transportation and to prevent misfire owing to lack of training.

To achieve the above purpose, the present invention is a safe firing device used in a tube loaded with a rocket and comprises a primer seat, which is set at rear end of the tube for firing a motor of the rocket; a firing pin, which is set in front of the primer seat for hitting against the primer seat for firing the rocket; a rod, which is set in front of the firing pin for pushing the firing pin and is connected with the firing pin with an elastic unit; a cocking lever, which is set at a side of the tube for aiming the rod at the primer seat; a safety button, which is set at the side of the tube for locking and releasing the rod; and a trigger, which is set beneath the tube for controlling axial movement of the rod. Accordingly, a novel safe firing device is obtained.

BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS OF THE DRAWINGS

The present invention will be better understood from the following detailed description of the preferred embodiment according to the present invention, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which

FIG. 1 is the view showing the preferred embodiment according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is the view showing the shoulder-launched anti-armor rocket; and

FIG. 3 is the view showing the rear part of the rocket.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT(S)

The following description of the preferred embodiment is provided to understand the features and the structures of the present invention.

Please refer to FIG. 1, which is a view showing a preferred embodiment according to the present invention. As shown in the figure, the present invention is a safe firing device, comprising a primer seat 110, which is set at rear end in a tube loaded with a rocket for firing a motor of the rocket; a firing pin 120, which is set in front of the primer seat 110 for hitting against the primer seat 110 for firing the rocket; a rod 130, which is set in front of the firing pin 120 for pushing the firing pin 120 and is connected with the firing pin 120 with an elastic unit; a cocking lever 140, which is set at a side of the tube for aiming the rod 130 at the primer seat 110; a safety button 150, which is set at the side of the tube for locking and releasing the rod 130; and a trigger 160, which is set beneath the tube for controlling axial movement of the rod 130. When the safe firing device is in a safe mode, the cocking lever 140 is turned to a safe position, where the firing pin 120 and the rod 130 are not aimed at the primer seat 110; and the safety button 150 buckles the rod 130 for preventing the rod 130 from axial movement. When the safe firing device is prepared for being launched, the cocking lever 140 is turned to a standby position, where the firing pin 120, the rod 130 and the primer seat 110 are lined up on the same axis; simultaneously, the safety button 150 is pushed down to release the rod 130; then, the trigger 160 is pressed to make the rod 130 move toward the firing pin 120 for further moving the firing pin 120; then, the firing pin 120 is moved to hit against the primer seat 110 for firing the motor of the rocket for launching the rocket immediately.

Please refer to FIG. 2, which is a view showing a shoulder-launched anti-armor rocket. As shown in the figure, the present invention is used in a tube of a shoulder-launched anti-armor rocket, having a safety button 210, a cocking lever 220, a firing trigger 230 and a safety pin 240. When the safety pin 240 is inserted into the tube, the rocket can not be launched. When the safety pin 240 is plucked, the firing trigger 230 can be pressed for launching the shoulder-launched anti-armor rocket while the safety button 210 is pressed down after the safety handle 220 is turned to a standby position.

Please refer to FIG. 3, which is a view showing a rear part of a rocket. As shown in the figure, the present invention is used in a tube of a shoulder-launched anti-armor rocket, which has a ring-shaped safety 310 at a rear part of the shoulder-launched anti-armor rocket. The ring-shaped safety 310 is inserted into the tube to butt against two pin holes 330 at two sides of a motor 320 of the shoulder-launched anti-armor rocket. When the ring-shaped safety 310 is inserted into the two pin holes at the two sides of the motor 320, misfire owing to falling of the tube can be prevented and safety is improved concerning violent shaking during transportation.

To sum up, the present invention is a safe firing device, where a few safety designs are used to improve safety of a rocket tube during transportation and to prevent the rocket from misfire owing to lack of training.

The preferred embodiment herein disclosed is not intended to unnecessarily limit the scope of the invention. Therefore, simple modifications or variations belonging to the equivalent of the scope of the claims and the instructions disclosed herein for a patent are all within the scope of the present invention.
