Description
FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention generally relates to devices for smoke inhalation, and more particularly, to devices for sanitary smoking between a group of individuals.

BACKGROUND

Smoking is an activity that often involves a group of individuals partaking in the experience together. A group of hookah smokers, for example, can use hookah tips to allow everyone to partake in a sanitary manner On the other hand, cannabis smokers generally lack the ability to share cannabis cigarettes (joints) or cigars sanitarily. Furthermore, the hand rolled cannabis cigarettes and cigars typically lack proper filtration and/or temperature control.

Therefore, there is a need for improved methods and devices for sanitarily sharing cigarettes and/or cigars while providing enhanced filtration and/or cooling.

SUMMARY

It is an object of the present invention to provide methods and devices to meet the above-stated needs. Generally, it is an object of the present invention to provide a device for sanitarily sharing cigarettes and/or cigars while providing enhanced filtration and/or cooling. The device can include a mouthpiece, a joint tip, and a cylindrical tube. The mouthpiece can be positioned toward a proximate end and can include a first aperture. The joint tip can be positioned toward a distal end and can include a second aperture that has a plurality of differently sized rings within the second aperture. The cylindrical tube can provide attachment between the mouthpiece and the joint tip. Further, smoke can travel from the second aperture of the joint tip to the first aperture of the mouthpiece.

In some examples, the device can include a plurality of differently sized rings positioned within the second aperture.

In some examples, the plurality of differently sized rings can include a first ring that is rectangular in shape.

In some examples, the plurality of differently sized rings after the first ring can be either circular or rectangular in shape.

According to some examples, the plurality of differently sized rings can each decrease in circumference as the rings approach the cylindrical tube.

In some examples, the joint tip can have a larger circumference than the mouthpiece.

In some examples, the joint tip can be funnel shaped.

According to some examples, a cooling gel can be inserted into the cylindrical tube to reduce the temperature of smoke as the smoke travels within the cylindrical tube from the joint tip to the mouthpiece.

In some examples, the cylinder can hold water that provides filtration and/or cooling.

In some examples, the device can include a fastener.

In some examples, the fastener can be an elastic strap that is a female member that provides attachment to an external male member.

In some examples, the device can be comprised of rubber, PVC, plastic, silicone, and/or the like.

In some examples, the device can include a filter that can be permanent or detachable.

An example method for using a safe pass smoking device can include one or more of the following steps presented in no particular order. Furthermore, the method can include additional steps not included here. The method can include squeezing an exterior surface near a first aperture of a safe pass smoking device to adjust the size of the first aperture. Then, the method can include inserting a cooling gel into a cylindrical tube of the safe pass smoking device through the first aperture. Also, the method can include squeezing the exterior surface near a second aperture of the safe pass smoking device to adjust the size of the second aperture. Then, the method can include inserting a cigarette into the second aperture.

In some examples, the method can include inserting a filter into the cylindrical tube through the first aperture before performing the step of inserting the cooling gel into the cylindrical tube.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

An object of the present invention is to provide a device for sanitarily sharing cigarettes and/or joints. More specifically, it is an object of the present invention to provide a device that secures a cigarette or a joint while providing filtration and/or regulation of the temperature of smoke. To meet some or all of these needs, example systems can include a safe pass device which can include a cooling gel insert, a filter, and/or a fastener.

FIG. 1 illustrates a safe pass smoking device 100 that can be used to hold a joint. The safe pass smoking device 100 can have a funnel-like shape. At a proximate end of the safe pass smoking device 100 can be a mouthpiece 105 that includes a first aperture. Towards a distal end, the safe pass smoking device 100 can include a joint tip 115 that includes a second aperture. As shown in FIG. 2, within the second aperture, the joint tip 115 can include a plurality of different sized rings 120. The first of the plurality of different sized rings 120 can be rectangular in shape. After the first ring, each of the plurality of different sized rings 120 may become smaller in diameter as the plurality of different size rings approach a cylinder 110, which can connect the joint tip 115 to the mouthpiece 105. After the first ring of the plurality of different sized rings 120, each of the different sized rings can be either circular or rectangular in shape. The safe pass smoking device 100 can be comprised of rubber, PVC, plastic, silicone, and/or any combination thereof. The aforementioned materials provide a texture that can be adjustable in shape and/or size. Thus, when the joint tip 115 is squeezed, the second aperture and the plurality of different sized rings 120 can decrease in diameter to allow a cigarette or a joint to be inserted (shown in FIG. 4). It should be noted that a joint does not need to be inserted for use. For example, if the joint is too wide to be inserted, it can be gripped from the outside through the soft body of the safe pass smoking device 100 (shown in FIG. 7). Also, a cooling gel 125 can be inserted into the cylinder 110 via the first aperture of the mouthpiece 105. As can be inferred, the cooling gel 125 can help reduce the temperature of smoke as it travels within the smoke device 100 toward the mouthpiece 105. In other examples (not shown), the cylinder 110 can hold water that provides cooling and/or filtration.

Turning to FIG. 5, another safe pass smoking device 200 is illustrated. The safe pass smoking, device 200 may be substantially similar to the safe pass smoking device 100 in many regards. For example, the safe pass smoking device 200 can have a funnel-like shape, can include a mouthpiece 205 with a first aperture at a proximate end, a joint tip 215 at a distal end that includes a second aperture, and within the second aperture, the joint tip 215 can include a plurality of different sized rings 220, and a cylinder 210. Similar to the safe pass smoking device 100, the safe pass smoking device 200 can be comprised of rubber, PVC, plastic, silicone, and/or any combination thereof.

As shown in FIG. 6, the safe pass smoking device 200 can further include a filter 230 and a fastener 235. The filter 230 can be positioned within the cylinder 210 near the joint tip 215. In some examples, the filter 230 can be detachable, such that a user can insert the filter 230 through the second aperture of the joint tip 215. The filter 230 can be comprised of paper, metal, or any other material known in the art. In other examples, the filter 230 can be clipped onto the outside of the mouthpiece 205. The fastener 235 can be located on an exterior surface of the cylinder 210 near the joint tip 215. The fastener 235 can be, for example, an elastic trap that allows the safe pass smoking device 200 to connect to another object (e.g., a keychain).

FIG. 7 illustrates the safe pass smoking device 200 gripping a joint from outside. In this example, the joint does not need to be inserted into the joint tip 215. Rather, the soft body of the safe pass smoking device 200 is expandable such that it can grip the joint from outside the safe pass smoking device 200. Thus, the expandable soft body allows the safe pass smoking device 200 to be used with joints, cigars, and/or cigarettes that are too large to fit within the joint tip 215.
