Claims
- 1. A debris net comprising:
- a sheet of netting material having a given length and a given width;
- first and second seams extending generally transversely to the longitudinal length of the net;
- said first seam defining a leftmost region of a debris net and the second seam defining a second right most region of the debris net;
- said debris net having a border member so as to define at least a rightmost forward edge and a leftmost trailing edge of said netting;
- a plurality of closed shaped connecting members disposed at given spaced intervals extending along each of said first and second seams;
- said plurality of closed shape connecting members being connected to the mesh structure along each of said first and second seams through the intermediary of a plurality of flex C-rings; and
- said plurality of flex C-rings being made from deformable steel or other metallic material which is caused to grip about the closed shaped connecting member and the material making up each of the first and second seams of the mesh structure.
- 2. A debris net as defined in claim 1 further characterized in that said first and second seams are formed from double back transverse extending portions of said mesh material which are stitched together and said closed shaped connecting member are circular rings.
- 3. A debris net as defined in claim 2 further characterized by said forwardmost and trailingmost edges of said debris net extend parallel to said first and second transversely extending seams;
- a plurality of lashings secured to said forwardmost and trailingmost edges of said debris net at spaced intervals corresponding to said spaced intervals of said closed shaped connecting members; and
- wherein said lashings are a single length of material which are connected to the forward most and rearward most edges of said debris net at spaced intervals corresponding to the spacings of said closed shaped connecting members and connected thereto by a single flex C-ring which is deformed about the border member and the lashing.
- 4. A safety net unit comprising:
- a debris net having a first given dimension and a second given dimension together defining a given area of the debris net;
- a safety net having a first given dimension and a second given dimension together defining a given area of the safety net;
- said safety net being comprised of an elongate substantially flexible border member having a cross section which is substantially uniform through out its length, said border member defining said given area of said safety net;
- said debris net being comprised of a substantially flexible border member having a cross section which is substantially uniform through out its length, said border member defining said given area of said debris net;
- said debris net first given dimension and said safety net first given dimension being substantially equal to one another; and
- means for connecting said border member of said safety net with at least a portion of said border member of said debris net such that the safety net and said debris net extend substantially coextensively with one another in at least said first given dimensions.
- 5. A safety net unit as defined in claim 4 further characterized by: said debris net second dimension includes a flap length portion which when combined with the remaining length of said debris net being longer than said safety net second dimension.
- 6. A safely net unit as defined in claim 4 further characterized by: said means for connecting said border member of said safety net with at least a portion of said border member of said debris net including a plurality of flexible C-rings which are deformed about each of the safety net and debris net borders from an expanded condition to a deformed reduced condition so as to nonreleaseably capture a portion of the border members in a fastened condition.
- 7. A debris net comprising:
- a sheet of netting material having a given length and a given width;
- a seam extending generally transversely to the longitudinal length of the net;
- said seam defining a region of a debris net;
- said debris net having a border member defining at least a forward edge and a trailing edge;
- a plurality of closed shaped connecting members disposed at given spaced intervals extending along said seam;
- said plurality of dosed shape connecting members being connected to the mesh structure along said seam through the intermediary of a plurality of flex C-rings; and
- said plurality of flex C-rings being made from deformable steel or other metallic material which is caused to grip about the closed shaped connecting member and the material making up said seams of the mesh structure.
