Standard beach umbrellas are prone to easily dislodging from the sand when a breeze blows through, causing individuals to chase them down in order to retrieve them. In addition, as the sun moves, the umbrella must be removed and repositioned in order to properly shield the users which can be very cumbersome.
The present invention generally relates to an umbrella. More specifically, the invention is a sand umbrella device.
It is an object of the invention to provide a sand umbrella device that provides one or more user's with a product which protects them from direct sunlight.
It is an object of the invention to provide a sand umbrella device that allows a user to adjust the sand umbrella device and its shade 360 degrees without having to remove the sand umbrella device from the sand.
It is an object of the invention to provide a sand umbrella device that is capable of collapsing into itself and is afforded a stake at the base of the sand umbrella device.
What is really needed is a sand umbrella device that provides one or more user's with a product which protects them from direct sunlight that allows a user to adjust the sand umbrella device and its shade 360 degrees without having to remove the sand umbrella device from the sand that is capable of collapsing into itself and is afforded a stake at the base of the sand umbrella device.
The present invention will be described by way of exemplary embodiments, but not limitations, illustrated in the accompanying drawings in which like references denote similar elements, and in which:
Various aspects of the illustrative embodiments will be described using terms commonly employed by those skilled in the art to convey the substance of their work to others skilled in the art. However, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced with only some of the described aspects. For purposes of explanation, specific numbers, materials and configurations are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the illustrative embodiments. However, it will be apparent to one skilled in the art that the present invention may be practiced without the specific details. In other instances, well-known features are omitted or simplified in order not to obscure the illustrative embodiments.
Various operations will be described as multiple discrete operations, in turn, in a manner that is most helpful in understanding the present invention. However, the order of description should not be construed as to imply that these operations are necessarily order dependent. In particular, these operations need not be performed in the order of presentation.
The phrase “in one embodiment” is utilized repeatedly. The phrase generally does not refer to the same embodiment, however, it may. The terms “comprising”, “having” and “including” are synonymous, unless the context dictates otherwise.
The umbrella 110 protects and shields one or more users of the sand umbrella device 100. The umbrella 110 can be any suitable type or size of umbrella. The swivel mechanism 120 allows the umbrella 110 to swivel 360 degrees to protect and shield the one or more users at a plurality of positions. The top pipe piece 130 has a proximal end 132 and a distal end 134 and the proximal end 132 is integral to the swivel mechanism 120. The top pipe piece 130 is approximately 4-¾″ in diameter and is made of PVC or other suitable material. The middle pipe piece 140 has a proximal end 142 and a distal end 144 and is approximately 4-⅞″ in diameter and is made of PVC or other suitable material. The distal end 134 of the top pipe piece 130 is slid into the proximal end 142 of the middle pipe piece 140 and removably attached by an aperture 146 and pin 148 that can be any suitable aperture and pin such as a cotter pin. The bottom pipe piece 150 has a proximal end 152 and a distal end 154 and is approximately 5″ in diameter and is made of PVC or other suitable material. The distal end 144 of the middle pipe piece 140 is removably slid into the proximal end 152 of the bottom pipe piece 150 and can be removably attached by an aperture 156 and pin 158 that can be any suitable aperture and pin such as a cotter pin. The auger blade 160 is disposed on the distal end 154 of the bottom pipe piece 150 and can be pushed and twisted into sand or other suitable ground surface to secure the sand umbrella device 100 in an upright position. The 90 degree elbow 170 has a proximal end 172 and a distal end 174 and is also made of PVC or other suitable material. The proximal end 172 of the 90 degree elbow 170 is integral to the swivel mechanism 120 and the distal end 174 of the 90 degree elbow 170 is removably attached by an aperture 176 and pin 178 that can be any suitable aperture and pin such as a cotter pin.
The sand umbrella device provides one or more user's with a product which protects them from direct sunlight that allows a user to adjust the sand umbrella device and the shade it produces 360 degrees without having to remove the sand umbrella device from the sand that is also capable of collapsing into itself and is afforded a stake at the base of the sand umbrella device.
The sand umbrella device is approximately 7 feet tall when fully extended and is made of PVC pipe capable of collapsing into itself and is afforded a stake at the base of the sand umbrella device. The sand umbrella device is a 5 piece sand umbrella that is a more suitable alternative to current traditional sand umbrella device. The sand umbrella device is equipped with an approximate 3″ PVC pipe at its top which slides into an approximate 4″ PVC pipe in its middle portion, which slides into an approximate 5″ PVC pipe at its base. The approximate 5″ PVC pipe located at the base of the sand umbrella device contains a pointed end, and is designed to be twisted directly into the sand, providing a relatively strong hold. The sand umbrella device may be readily available at various retail department stores and outdoor goods retailers.
The sand umbrella device is a 5 piece sand umbrella that features an approximate 7 foot tall, collapsible umbrella provided with a 90 degree elbow at its top, allowing a user to adjust the sand umbrella device and its shade 360 degrees without having to remove the sand umbrella device from the sand. The sand umbrella device is designed to be durable, easy to use, lightweight and safe.
