Claims
- 1. A surface acoustic wave device comprising a substrate for propagating a surface acoustic wave, input and output transducers formed on the surface of said substrate with each having two opposite electrodes each of which has a plurality of electrode fingers extending toward their opposites and meshing with the electrode fingers of their opposites, and a multistrip coupler having strip lines of a configuration wherein portions of at least some of the coupler strip lines are more widely spaced from the adjacent transducer patterns than other portions of the coupler strip lines, characterized in that
- in at least one coupler strip line having a portion thereof more widely spaced from adjacent transducer patterns than the other portions thereof, the width of said portion of said at least one coupler strip line which is more widely spaced from adjacent transducer patterns is made larger than the width of the other portions of said at least one coupler strip line.
- 2. The surface acoustic wave device according to claim 1 wherein said portion of said at least one coupler strip line whose width is made larger is positioned so that it is not adjacent to the pattern of said input or output transducers.
