The disclosure relates to holder devices and more particularly pertains to a new holder device for inhibiting a scoop from becoming buried in a powered nutritional supplement. The device includes a block that is attachable to a lid of a container and a channel is integrated into the block. The device includes a peg that is slidable into the channel and a slot integrated into the peg for receiving a handle of a scoop. The scoop is suspended over the powered nutritional supplement when the lid is attached to the container.
The prior art relates to holder devices including a variety of scoop holding devices that each at least includes a tubular holder which slidably engages a scoop for mounting the scoop to a lid. In no instance does the prior art disclose a scoop holder that includes a block which has a channel integrated into the block which is attachable to a lid of a container and a peg which has a slot for insertably receiving a handle of a scoop. The peg is slidable into the channel for suspending the scoop over contents of the container.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a block that is attachable to a lid of a container for powdered nutritional supplement. A channel is integrated into the block and the channel is exposed when the block is attached to the lid. A peg is slidable into the channel in the block for mounting the peg to the lid. A slot is integrated into the peg thereby facilitating the slot to insertably receive a handle of a scoop to facilitate the scoop to be accessible for a user.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The block 12 has an opening 34 extending through the lower surface 22 and into the channel 20. The opening 34 extends from the front side 28 of the outer surface 26 toward the terminal end 32 of the channel 20. Additionally, the opening 34 has a width that is less than a width of the channel 20 and the opening 34 has a terminal end 36 that is rounded. The block 12 may have a length and a width ranging between approximately 2.5 cm and 5.0 cm and a height ranging between approximately 12.0 mm and 25.0 mm.
An adhesive layer 38 is applied to the upper surface 24 of the block 12 having the adhesive layer 38 completely covering the upper surface 24. An exposed surface 40 of the adhesive layer 38 adheres to a bottom surface 42 of the lid 14 of the container 16. A protective sheet 44 is removably applied to the exposed surface 40 of the adhesive layer 38 to inhibit the exposed surface 40 from being adhered. Additionally, the protective sheet 44 completely covers the exposed surface 40.
A peg 46 is slidable into the channel 20 in the block 12 for mounting the peg 46 to the lid 14. The peg 46 has a slot 48 that is integrated into the peg 46 thereby facilitating the slot 48 to insertably receive a handle 50 of a scoop 52. In this way the peg 46 facilitates the scoop 52 to be accessible for a user 54. The peg 46 has a head 56 and a stem 58 extending away from the head 56 and the stem 58 has a distal end 60 with respect to the head 56. The head 56 may have a diameter ranging between approximately 12.0 mm and 15.0 mm and the stem 58 may have a diameter ranging between approximately 9.0 mm and 12.0 mm. Additionally, the stem 58 may have a length ranging between approximately 25.0 mm and 30.0 mm.
The slot 48 extends through the distal end 60 of the stem 58 toward the head 56 and the slot 48 extends outwardly through an outside surface 62 of the stem 58. The head 56 is slidable into the channel 20 in the block 12 having the stem 58 extending outwardly through the opening 34 in the block 12. Furthermore, a lower surface 64 of the head 56 abuts a threshold 66 between the channel 20 and the opening 34 thereby inhibiting the peg 46 from falling out of the channel 20 when the lid 14 is attached to the container 16. The head 56 abuts the terminal end 32 of the channel 20 and the stem 58 abuts the terminal end 36 of the opening 34 when the peg 46 is fully seated in the channel 20.
In use, the protective sheet 44 is removed from the adhesive layer 38 and the block 12 is positioned on the bottom surface 42 of the lid 14 to facilitate the adhesive layer 38 to adhere to the bottom surface 42. The handle 50 of the scoop 52 is inserted into the slot 48 in the stem 58 of the peg 46. The head 56 of the peg 46 is slid 14 into the channel 20 in the block 12 having the stem 58 extending outwardly through the opening 34. In this way the scoop 52 is suspended over the powdered nutritional supplement 18 when the lid 14 is positioned on the container 16 thereby inhibiting the scoop 52 from becoming buried in the powdered nutritional supplement 18. In this way the user 54 does not have to dig through the powdered nutritional supplement 18 to find the scoop 52.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
