Claims
- 1. A scoring apparatus for simulated combat between at least two opponents comprises:
(a) a simulated weapon having a striking section; (b) a marking means for dispensing a marking agent; and (c) means for attaching said marking means to the striking section to dispense said marking agent upon contact with one of said at least two opponents.
- 2. The scoring apparatus of claim 1, wherein the striking section of the simulated weapon comprises a shock absorbing means.
- 3. The scoring apparatus of claim 2, wherein the shock absorbing means comprises a compressive/resilient material.
- 4. The scoring apparatus of claim 3, wherein the means for attaching the marking means to the striking section comprises:
(a) a strip of fabric; (b) stitching; and (c) a bonding agent.
- 5. The scoring apparatus of claim 1, wherein the simulated weapon further comprises a gripping section.
- 6. The scoring apparatus of claim 5, wherein the gripping section comprises a hand gripper.
- 7. The scoring apparatus of claim 5, wherein the gripping section comprises gripping tape.
- 8. The scoring apparatus of claim 1, wherein the marking means comprises:
(a) a marking agent applicator; (b) a retentive/dispersive material; and (c) a striker covering.
- 9. The scoring apparatus of claim 8, wherein the marking agent is chosen from the group consisting of:
(a) chalk; (b) charcoal (c) ink; and (d) wax.
- 10. The scoring apparatus of claim 8, wherein the retentive/dispersive material comprises a cotton cord.
- 11. The scoring apparatus of claim 8, wherein the striker covering encompasses the entire simulated weapon.
- 12. The scoring apparatus of claim 1, wherein the striking section of the simulated weapon comprises:
(a) a flat core having a top surface, bottom surface, rearward end and forward end; (b) a top padded strip attached to said top surface of the core; and (c) a bottom padded strip attached to said bottom surface of the core.
- 13. The scoring apparatus of claim 12, wherein the rearward end of the flat core is raised to add strength to the flat core when flexing from a striking or thrusting action.
- 14. The scoring apparatus of claim 12, wherein the bottom padded strip is thicker than the top padded strip.
- 15. The scoring apparatus of claim 1, wherein the simulated weapon comprises:
(a) a passageway; and (b) a groove.
- 16. The scoring apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
(a) a chest covering; and (b) an eraser.
- 17. The scoring apparatus of claim 16, wherein the eraser comprises:
(a) a sponge portion; and (b) a felt portion.
- 18. The scoring apparatus of claim 16, wherein the chest covering comprises nylon.
- 19. A method of scoring during simulated combat between at least two opponents comprising the steps of:
(a) applying a marking agent to a marking means of a simulated weapon; and (b) striking said simulated weapon against a chest covering to simulate a hit with said marking agent.
- 20. The method for scoring of claim 19, further comprising the steps of erasing said marking agent from the chest covering.
