This invention relates to a scraper for use with common household brooms, the plastic cover being particularly adapted for use with a variety of mops and brooms configurations.
This invention relates to attachments for brooms of the type employed for cleaning floors of households/buildings wherein said floors are subjected to grease and other foreign matter having a tendency to adhere to said floors and has for the primary object the provision of efficient and inexpensive devices of this character which may be readily secured onto a broom head and by reversing the position of the latter said device may be brought into proper engagement with a floor, whereby foreign matter adhering thereto may be scraped or loosened to permit said matter to be swept up by the broom in a conventional manner.
There are multiple inventions that have been found in prior art providing solutions for better cleaning. For instance, Absorbent broom cover bearing U.S. Pat. No. 6,389,637B1 is issued to Leona. Hurell. The patent an absorbent broom cover for use with a household broom, particularly for cleaning surfaces. The cover comprises a sheet of doubled-over material and a securing portion. Portions of the doubled-over sheet are attachable and together define a proximal opening. The securing portion has a pair of elastically resilient strips attached to opposite faces of the tapered ends. The first strip folds up and over the second strip during engagement, thereby securely fastening the cover in place.
An attachment for joining broom head to haft—has end of haft cut into conical tapered shape which fits into hole in broom head bearing German patent 1,919,411B2 is issued to a German inventor. The patent discloses a system for attachment of a broom or besom and scrubber to a wooden haft or handle has the haft or handle shaped into a conical shape or some other shape which matches up with the design into which the hole of the broom or brush has been cut before the haft or handle and the broom head are joined by compression. The device which is mounted in the brush head has a conically tapering hole (2) extending towards the bottom of the body (1). The hole (2) is of annular cross section to accommodate the haft.
A Broom Attachment, Broom Assembly and Method for Use Thereof bearing U.S. Pat. No. 2,017,031,17,08A1 is issued to Balais Nomad Inc, Les Brosses Henault Inc. The patent discloses a broom attachment is provided for a rotary sweeper assembly that includes a broom mount and a broom unit mountable to the broom mount. The broom attachment includes a plurality of broom attachment bristles and a support member having a retained portion and a retaining portion. The plurality of bristles extend from the retaining portion and the retained portion is operatively mountable to at least one of the broom mount and the broom unit. A broom assembly includes at least one broom attachment. When the broom attachment is operatively mounted to the broom mount, the broom attachment bristles are positioned at a greater radial distance away from an axis of rotation than the cleaning bristles of the broom unit. A method of assembling a broom attachment to a broom mount includes operatively mounting the retained portion to the broom mount.
A floor cleaning attachment bearing U.S. Pat. No. 2,009,026,587,6A1 is issued to Techtronic Outdoor Products Tech Ltd. The patent discloses a floor cleaning attachment which is configured to attach to a pressure washer lance to receive a flow of fluid. The floor cleaning attachment includes a housing that defines a suction space and includes an attachment point configured to attach to the pressure washer lance to receive the flow of fluid. A rotatable brush is coupled to the housing, a vacuum producing member is coupled to the housing, and a valve is coupled to the housing and movable between a first position in which the flow of fluid is directed onto a floor, a second position in which the flow of fluid is directed to the vacuum producing member to produce a partial vacuum, and a third position in which the flow of fluid is directed to the rotatable brush to rotate the brush.
A hard and soft floor surface cleaning apparatus bearing U.S. Pat. No. 5,455,982A is issued to Advance Machine Co. The patent discloses an apparatus (10) including an interchangeable brush (88) and either a removable vacuum shoe (38) for soft floor surfaces or removable squeegee and carriage assemblies (56, 68) for hard floor surfaces. A spindle (32) is rotatably mounted in the chassis (18) and includes first and second arms (36, 52). The first arm (36) is attached to a sleeve (34) for removably and pivotally receiving a pivot pin (40) of the vacuum shoe (38). The second arm (52) includes an elongated slot (54) which slideably receives a follower pin (82) of a crank arm (80) of the carriage assembly (68). The spindle (32) is rotated by an integral lever (44) pivotally connected to a linkage (46) having its opposite end pivotally connected to a second, pivotable lever (26). A bracket (20) is pivotable with a handle (16) and abuts with the second lever (26) to support the chassis (18) by the vacuum shoe (38) or the roller (86) of the carriage assembly (68) such that the brush (88) is spaced from the floor surface when the handle (16) is in a transport position. The free end of a screw (30) threadably secured in the chassis (18) abuts with the second lever (26) when the handle (16) is in operating positions to adjust the height of the brush (88) relative to the floor surface.
There are multiple solutions that have been presented in prior art. However, these solutions are limited and restricted to their conventional systems. The current invention is focused on presenting an assembly which is directed to a plastic floor cleaning product and is universal in nature. The assembly is made of durable plastic which is 20 centimeters high and 15 centimeters wide and scrapes dirt and dried food stains, spilled substances or sticky substances off the floor. It has a hollow handle which can be attached to the end of a broom or mop handle and also be detached easily. The assembly has a distinctive feature where no other scraper can fit onto the end of a handle and is easily attachable and detachable.
None of the previous inventions and patents, taken either singly or in combination, is seen to describe the instant invention as claimed. Hence, the inventor of the present invention proposes to resolve and surmount existent technical difficulties to eliminate the aforementioned shortcomings of prior art.
In light of the disadvantages of the prior art, the following summary is provided to facilitate an understanding of some of the innovative features unique to the present invention and is not intended to be a full description. A full appreciation of the various aspects of the invention can be gained by taking the entire specification, claims, drawings, and abstract as a whole.
The primary desirable object of the present invention is to provide a novel and improved form of attachment for broom for better cleaning.
It is also the primary objective of the invention to provide a method of assembling a broom attachment to a broom or mop of any type. The method comprises providing at least one broom attachment as described herein according to various embodiments, and operatively mounting the broom attachment to the broom mount.
It is another objective of the invention to provide an attachment made of durable plastic.
It is also the object of the invention to provide an attachment as per its illustrative embodiment having a wide mouth for better cleaning.
It is further the object of the invention to provide an attachment for broom having variety of animal shapes, company logos, messages or emoticons or in any color or size or shape.
It is moreover the object of invention to provide scraper in multiple shapes and sizes. The scraper can be reconfigured to be made smaller and also proposed to be of shorter shape from the hollow attachment to the edge of the blade. There can be numerous blade shapes which may be employed by a manufacturer.
It is also the objective of the invention to provide a smart assembly which provide ease of use and convenience to the user.
It is further the object of the invention to provide a scraper which is universally fitting assembly and can fit to any type of broom, mop handles and can be attached by simply sliding the at the end of broom or mop handles,
A further object is to provide an assembly that is simple and easy to use.
It is also the objective of the invention to provide an efficient cleaning system which is highly portable and cost effective.
It is furthermore the objective of the invention to provide scraper which won't scratch, or damage floors made of tile, linoleum, composite, wood, cement, Laminate or bamboo.
Thus, it is the objective, to provide an attachment successively projecting through the broom mount and provides better cleaning and is easily attachable and detachable. Other aspects, advantages and novel features of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description of the invention when considered in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

The present invention is directed to a plastic floor cleaning product which can be attached and detached to any broom in its conventional state.
The assembly as per illustrative embodiment is made of high-quality plastic. The attachment is wide open and has a longitudinal length of 20 cm and width of 15 cm.
In an embodiment, the assembly presents a hollow handle which can be attached to the end of a broom or mop handle and can be detached easily. The process of attaching and detaching can be done multiple times regardless of any effect on assembly fitting and any compromise on efficiency of output expected. The assembly is universal in nature and can be attached to any broom or mop. The process of attaching the scraper is easy and just requires the user to slide in the assembly at the end of mop handle or broom handle.
In an embodiment, the hollow handle is lined with a thin plastic/rubber coating. First element being “directly mounted” to another element, or variants of this expression, herein refers to the first element being directly connected to another element. The direct connection may be provided by simply adjusting the attachment to broom. The scraper is reinforced with the same plastic it is made from, and also presents two side “struts” which gives added strength so as to avoid breaking while in use.
In an embodiment, the base of attachment has a rubber cap which is scored in the middle to provide better grip and stability when the broom or mop handle inserted in the attachment.
In an embodiment, the scraper is one size only and is designed to fit most commercially produced broom and mop handles. The scraper can be reconfigured to be made smaller and also proposed to be of shorter shape from the hollow attachment to the edge of the blade. There can be numerous blade shapes which may be employed by a manufacturer.
In an embodiment, the scraper can also be attached to a broom or mop handle indefinitely.
In an embodiment, the scraper wont scratch or damage floors made of tile, linoleum, composite, wood, cement, Laminate, bamboo and can work very well on all type of floors.
In a further embodiment, the scraper can be of plain or multiple shapes. The shapes can include company's logo, animal shapes, emoticons and other images as per user requirements.
