Claims
- 1. A method of scrubbing a waste gas stream, the method comprising the steps of rotating a hollow cylindrical member, while maintaining the cylindrical member partially submerged in a pool of liquid, and while applying negative pressure so as to draw waste gas into one end of the hollow cylindrical member and out of another end of the cylindrical member, wherein the cylindrical member has an interior region, and wherein the method also includes the step of mixing said waste gas with said liquid throughout substantially the entire interior region of said cylindrical member.
- 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of conveying liquid from the pool towards the waste gas before the waste gas has entered the cylindrical member.
- 3. The method of claim 1, wherein some of the gas that is drawn out of said another end of the cylindrical member is recycled with the gas that is entering the cylindrical member.
- 4. The method of claim 1, further comprising the step of removing moisture from the gas that flows out of the cylindrical member.
