The disclosure relates to scrubbing devices and more particularly pertains to a new scrubbing device for releasing a liquid soap while being worn on a user's hand. The scrubbing device comprises a glove, which has a soap reservoir integrated therein, and a plurality of soap openings for releasing a liquid soap from the soap reservoir. Additionally, a plurality of bristles is attached to the glove to enhance scrubbing the object.
The prior art relates to scrubbing devices including a variety of gloves that have various means of soap storage and dispensing being coupled thereto. The prior art also discloses a variety of gloves that have scrubbing elements, such as bristles, attached thereto for scrubbing an object. Additionally, the prior art discloses a glove that has soap dispensing portions and scrubbing portions being removably coupled to the glove. In no instance does the prior art disclose a glove that has bristles attached thereto and that has a soap reservoir integrated therein.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a glove that has a plurality of fingers, a hand portion, a thumb and a cuff such that the glove can be worn on a user's hand. The glove has a soap reservoir integrated therein to contain a liquid soap. Additionally, the glove has a plurality of soap openings each extending into the soap reservoir to release the liquid soap from the soap reservoir. A plurality of bristles is each coupled to the glove to scrub a surface when the glove is worn.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The hand portion 16 has an inside layer 28 and an outside layer 30 to define the soap reservoir 22 between the inside layer 28 and the outside layer 30. Additionally, the soap reservoir 22 is fluidly discrete from each of the fingers 14, the thumb 18 and the cuff 20. Each of the soap openings 26 extends through the outside layer 30 of the hand portion 16, and the soap openings 26 are spaced apart from each other and are distributed over a palm 32 of the hand portion 16. Additionally, the soap openings 26 are arranged to radiate outwardly from a central point 34 of the palm 32. The outside layer 30 has a fill opening 36 extending into the soap reservoir 22 to facilitate the soap reservoir 22 to be filled with the liquid soap 24. A closure 37, such as a cap or the like, may be provided for closing the fill opening 36.
A plurality of bristles 38 is provided and each of the bristles 38 is coupled to the glove 12 to scrub a surface when the glove 12 is worn. Each of the bristles 38 is spaced apart from each other and is distributed over the hand portion 16, each of the fingers 14 and the thumb 18. Each of the bristles 38 is positioned on a first surface 40 of the glove 12 which corresponds to each of the fingers 14, the thumb 18 and the hand portion 16. The plurality of bristles 38 has a boundary 42 on the hand portion 16, the boundary 42 is spaced from the cuff 20 and the boundary 42 curves toward the cuff 20. Each of the bristles 38 has a distal end 44 and the distal end 44 of each of the bristles 38 is rounded. Additionally, each of the bristles 38 may be comprised of the same material of which the glove 12 is comprised.
In use, the glove 12 is worn on the user's hand for scrubbing an object, such as a plate, a counter top or any other surface to be cleaned. The pressure of the user's hand against the inside layer 28 of the hand portion 16 squeezes the liquid soap 24 out of the soap openings 26. In this way the liquid soap 24 is released to enhance cleaning the object. Additionally, the soap reservoir 22 can be refilled, through the fill opening, when the soap reservoir 22 is depleted of the liquid soap 24.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
