Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a container for food storage, in particular to a sealed food can with time setting device.

Background Art

Sealed cans for food storage are common daily necessities in life. The food in cans can be isolated from the outside air effectively thanks to the sealing connection between the can body and the sealing cover so as to achieve the purposes of moisture-proof, insect-proof and anti-oxidation, and avoid deterioration of food stored in a certain period of time.

Food has shelf life and is easy to be infested with insects and mildew after long-term storage. Mildew will produce a large quantity of strong carcinogens aflatoxin, which will endanger the consumer's health seriously. Therefore, food should be discarded when its expiration date elapses and should be eaten within its shelf life to avoid waste of resources caused by discard expired food.

However, the current sealed cans for storage have relatively simple structure and single function, normally with the only basic function of sealing and storing, and have no device for reminding storage time. In daily life, when a plurality of sealed cans are concurrently used, and the food in each sealed can is usually not put in simultaneously, it is easy for a user to forget when food is stored and the expiration time thereof, thus it is likely for people to eat the expired food because of forgetting or negligence, which will endanger people's health.

In order to cope with the expiration problem of food storage, some people use date sticker for marking, which is relatively troublesome in real operation, and the sticker will fall off if not firmly attached. When replacing food, it is necessary to change stickers at the same time, while it may be troublesome to remove old stickers, after which adhesive residues may sometimes be left. This will not only affect the cleanliness and aesthetics of sealed cans, but also cause certain pollution to food due to the toxicity of the adhesives if not operated properly.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention will be further described in detail with respect to embodiments thereof in conjunction with the accompanied drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 5, a sealed food can with time setting device comprises a can body 1 and a sealing cover 2. The sealing cover 2 can be in sealed connection with the can body 1 through a plurality of locks 3, e.g., two, three or more locks, on the periphery of the cover body. In this figure, the shape of the can body 1 and the sealing cover 2 are shown quadrilateral, and lock 3 is arranged on each side. The number of lock 3 can be selected according to the size, specification and shape of the sealed can in practice.

The lock 3 and the sealing cover 2 may be integrally formed or separately arranged, and the latter is shown in the embodiment as an example. When the lock 3 and the sealing cover 2 are separated, both sides of the tail of the lock 3 are movably hinged with the connecting base 21 at the periphery of the sealing cover 2 through the pin shaft 31. A barb 32 is arranged on the inner side of the lower portion of the lock 3, and is engaged with the lower portion of the connecting protrusion 11 on the can body 1 when the whole lock 3 is turned down. In order to facilitate the flip-over operation of the lock 3, a protrusive wrench 33 is arranged at the bottom of the lock 3 downward, which can facilitate the finger to exert force when pulling the lock 3.

In order to enhance the engaging effect, a plurality of arc protrusions 321 is provided upward at the head of the barb 32.

In order to enhance the sealing performance, a sealing groove 22 is arranged at the contact portion between the sealing cover 2 and the periphery of the can body 1, and a sealing ring 23 is arranged in the sealing groove 22.

A time setting device is arranged on the can body 1, on the sealing cover 2 or on the lock 3. In this figure, the time setting device is arranged on the lock 3 and is in a horizontal layout as an example, which shares the same structure as in the cases where the time setting device is arranged on the can body 1 or on the sealing cover 2, with the only difference in the setting position and the setting direction (horizontal or vertical), hence description of the latter will not be repeated.

The time setting device comprises a sliding rail 41 and an indicating slider 42 and the indicating slider can slide left and right along the sliding rail 41.

The sliding rail 41 is a track with a T-shaped cross section, and the indicating slider 42 is an inverted U-shaped body. Two inner protrusions 421 are oppositely arranged on both sides of the bottom of the U-shaped cavity of the indicating slider 42, which are engaged with the sliding rail 41.

A plurality of date marks 43 is provided at equal intervals beside the sliding rail 41. The style of the date marks 43 is numbers, patterns or English initials for every day of a week. In this figure, the third type is adopted, that is, letters S, M, T, W, T, F and S are configured at equal intervals, which refer to Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday respectively. In practice, the date marks 43 can be set in other ways as required.

The indicating slider 42 is provided with an indicator tip 422 on the side corresponding to the date marks. When the indicating slider 42 moves along the sliding rail 41, the indicator tip 422 can correspond to one of the date marks 43, so as to indicate the time at which food is stored or the expiration time thereof.

The time setting device on the sealed food can with the above structure can set the storage time or expiration date for food storage.

When the food is stored into the cans, it is only necessary to move the indicating slider 42 so as to make its indicating tip 422 point to the specific storage date or expiration date marks 43, which can provide users with an intuitive, vivid and eye-catching marking for reminder. On one hand, it can urge the consumer to use up the food within the shelf life to avoid wasting resources in case of expiration, on the other hand, the expired food can effectively warn the user from eating by mistake in case of forgetting the expiration time or negligence. What′ more, it is simple in structure and practical.

In order to improve user experience and convenience in use, a positioning device is arranged between the sliding rail 41 and the indication slider 42 for facilitating the indicating slider 42 being adjusted by a use to move in place at which the indicating tip 422 just points to a specific storage date or expiration date mark 43, and such a position device can also indicate to the user that the indicating slider 42 has been adjusted in place.

In this figure, the positioning device comprises a row of positioning grooves 44a configured at equal intervals on the back of the sliding rail 41 and positioning protrusions 44b arranged in the U-shaped cavity of the indicating slider 42. The number and position of the positioning grooves 44a correspond to the date marks 43 one by one, and the positioning protrusions 44b can just engage with a corresponding positioning groove 44a when the indicating slider 42 slides in place.

With the above positioning device, the indicating slider 42 can be effectively positioned on the sliding rail 41 after moving in place. Only an external force large enough to overcome the blocking resistance can make the indicating slider 42 move again, thus avoiding a free sliding of the indicating slider 42 in use from occurring and ensuring a proper date setting.

In addition, in the above positioning device, the positioning protrusion 44b will make a snapping sound when entering the corresponding positioning groove 44a, which can not only enhance user's hand feeling in operation, but also give a signal to the user that the setting is in proper position, thereby improving the convenience of moving the indicating slider 42 to a certain extent.

In consideration of the stress when a user pushes aside the indicating slider 42 with finger, The top of the indicating slider 42 is provided with some spines 423 for enhancing the frictional resistance with finger when the finger pushes. The positioning protrusions 44b and the positioning grooves 44a of the above positioning device can be interchanged. That is, a row of positioning protrusions configured at equal intervals can be arranged on the back of the sliding rail 41, and a positioning groove can be arranged in the U-shaped cavity of the indicating slider 42. The number and position of the positioning protrusions correspond to the date marks 43 one by one, and the positioning groove can be just engaged with a corresponding positioning protrusion when the indicating slider 42 is tuned into position.

The above are only some embodiments of the present invention, and do not intend to limit the invention in any form. Any simple modification, equivalent changes or modifications made to the above embodiments according to the technical principle of the present invention will fall within the scope of the technical solution of the present invention.
