Claims
- 1. A sealing device for sealing a joint disposed between two concrete sections, comprising:
- a profile fabricated from an impermeable material;
- said profile having a substantially U-shaped cross section to provide an upper cover wall, and first and second side walls depending downwardly from opposite sides of said cover wall;
- said first and second side walls having first and second free longitudinal lower edges, respectively;
- said first and second free longitudinal lower edges being transversely spaced apart by a maximum distance between said first and second side walls to provide an opening extending from said first free longitudinal lower edge to said second free longitudinal lower edge;
- securement means for mounting said profile in an area of the joint with said first and second free longitudinal lower edges being disposed on one of the concrete sections to provide a hood arrangement;
- sealing means for emerging through said opening and beneath said first and second free longitudinal lower edges to fill faulty concrete places in the joint area;
- said sealing means being a sealing medium;
- passage means to provide a flow path for said sealing medium;
- said passage means including a flow channel extending longitudinally within said profile in flow communication with said opening; and
- said cover wall and said first and second side walls having flat and straight wall surfaces in connection with each other.
- 2. A sealing device according to claim 1, wherein said first and second side walls depend perpendicularly downwardly from opposite sides of said cover wall.
- 3. A sealing device according to claim 1, wherein each of said first and second side walls depends downwardly from said cover wall at an outwardly directed angle from each other to provide a trapezoidal cross section.
- 4. A sealing device according to claim 1, wherein said securement means includes one or more screws, pins or nails extending through said profile in an oblique direction to a longitudinal axis of said profile to fasten said profile on a concrete surface.
- 5. A sealing device according to claim 1, including means for engaging said cover wall for securing said profile on a concrete surface.
- 6. A sealing device according to claim 1, wherein said first and second side walls of said profile are fabricated from a flexible material.
- 7. A sealing device according to claim 1, wherein first and second sealing lips are provided on said first and second free longitudinal lower edges, respectively, in a one piece construction therewith, said first and second sealing lips extending outwardly away from each other.
- 8. A sealing device according to claim 7, wherein said first and second sealing lips are fabricated from a flexible material.
- 9. A sealing device according to claim 7, wherein said first and second sealing lips are fabricated from an elastic material of soft plastic or rubber.
- 10. A sealing device for sealing a joint disposed between two concrete sections, comprising:
- a profile fabricated from an impermeable material;
- said profile having a substantially U-shaped cross section to provide an upper cover wall, and first and second side walls depending downwardly from opposite sides of said cover wall;
- said first and second side walls having first and second free longitudinal lower edges, respectively;
- said first and second free longitudinal lower edges being transversely spaced apart by a maximum distance between said first and second side walls to provide an opening extending from said first free longitudinal lower edge to said second free longitudinal lower edge;
- securement means for mounting said profile in an area of the joint with said first and second free longitudinal lower edges being disposed on one of the concrete sections to provide a hood arrangement;
- sealing means for emerging through said opening and beneath said first and second free longitudinal lower edges to fill faulty concrete places in the joint area;
- said sealing means being a sealing medium;
- passage means to provide a flow path for said sealing medium;
- said passage means including a flow channel extending longitudinally within said profile in flow communication with said opening;
- said securement means including one or more screws, pins or nails extending through said profile in an oblique direction to a longitudinal axis of said profile to fasten said profile on a concrete surface; and
- a head of each of said screws or nails being supported on said cover wall of said profile, and a shaft of each of said screws or nails extending through an associated hole in said cover wall of said profile.
- 11. A sealing device according to claim 10, wherein each of said first and second side walls is curved outwardly from each other in a downward direction from said cover wall to provide an arcuate cross section.
- 12. A sealing device according to claim 10, wherein said first and second side walls of said profile are fabricated from a flexible material.
- 13. A sealing device according to claim 10, wherein first and second sealing lips are provided on said first and second free longitudinal lower edges, respectively, in a one piece construction therewith, said first and second sealing lips extending outwardly away from each other.
- 14. A sealing device for sealing a joint disposed between two concrete sections, comprising:
- a profile fabricated from an impermeable material;
- said profile having a substantially U-shaped cross section to provide an upper cover wall, and first and second side walls depending downwardly from opposite sides of said cover wall;
- said first and second side walls having first and second free longitudinal lower edges, respectively;
- said first and second free longitudinal lower edges being transversely spaced apart by a maximum distance between said first and second side walls to provide an opening extending from said first free longitudinal lower edge to said second free longitudinal lower edge;
- securement means for mounting said profile in an area of the joint with said first and second free longitudinal lower edges being disposed on one of the concrete sections to provide a hood arrangement;
- sealing means for emerging through said opening and beneath said first and second free longitudinal lower edges to fill faulty concrete places in the joint area;
- said sealing means being a sealing medium;
- passage means to provide a flow path for said sealing medium;
- said passage means including a flow channel extending longitudinally within said profile in flow communication with said opening; and
- notch means being provided in said first and second side walls of said profile to permit said profile to be transversely bent along a longitudinal axis of said profile for mounting on a curved concrete surface.
- 15. A sealing device according to claim 14, wherein said notch means are notches extending through said first and second free longitudinal lower edges, a notch apex of each of said notches being disposed adjacent to said cover wall of said profile.
- 16. A sealing device according to claim 15, wherein side edges of each of said notches abut against each other to close each of said notches when said first and second free longitudinal lower edges of said profile are disposed on a curved concrete surface.
- 17. A sealing device for sealing a joint disposed between two concrete sections, comprising:
- a profile fabricated from an impermeable material;
- said profile having a longitudinally extending semi-cylindrical hollow construction to provide an upper arcuately curved cover wall, and first and second arcuately curved side walls depending downwardly from opposite sides of said cover wall;
- said first and second side walls having first and second free longitudinal lower edges, respectively, to provide said profile with a semi-circular cross section extending from said first free longitudinal lower edge on one side of said profile to said second free longitudinal lower edge on the opposite side of said profile;
- said first and second free longitudinal lower edges being transversely spaced apart by a maximum distance between said first and second side walls to provide an opening transversely extending from said first free longitudinal lower edge to said second free longitudinal lower edge;
- securement means for mounting said profile in an area of the joint with said first and second free longitudinal lower edges being disposed on one of the concrete sections to provide a hood arrangement having a semi-circular cross section;
- sealing means for emerging through said opening and beneath said first and second free longitudinal lower edges to fill faulty concrete places in the joint area;
- said sealing means being a sealing medium;
- passage means to provide a flow path for said sealing medium; and
- said passage means including a flow channel extending longitudinally within said profile in flow communication with said opening;
- 18. A sealing device according to claim 17, including means engaging said cover wall for securing said profile on a concrete surface.
- 19. A sealing device according to claim 17, wherein said securement means includes one or more screws, pins or nails extending through said profile in an oblique direction to a longitudinal axis of said profile to fasten said profile on a concrete surface.
- 20. A sealing device according to claim 17, wherein said first and second side walls of said profile are fabricated from a flexible material.
