Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Fields of the invention

The present invention relates to a seat back structure, more particularly to a seat back structure having good ventilation and good flexibility to be compliant with curve deformation of human body's back so as to provide comfortability for users.

2. Descriptions of Related Art

A chair is mainly formed by a seat portion and a seat back. The seat portion provides support for user's buttocks, while the seat back provides abutment with user's back. The seat back of a general chair is usually made of solid hard plate body the curve of which is rigid and fails to meet ergonomic design. When user leans against the seat back, only part of his back abuts against the seat back so that overall good support of user's back cannot be achieved. After sitting on the chair for a period of time, user often suffers the feeling of ache and fatigue. Furthermore, as the part of user's back contacted with the seat back is in close abutment with the seat back, the contact portion between user's back and the seat back is in lack of ventilation, user feels not only ache and fatigue but also muggy and discomfort on his back.

In order to solve the problems of deficiencies in flexibility and air permeability, a solution has been proposed in which a plurality of permeable holes are provided on the seat back so as to render ventilation or air permeability through the holes when user's back leans against the seat back. However, in practical implementation, user's back during abutment against the seat back is still in close contact with the seat back and even to “shut” the holes, it is difficult to produce ventilation effect. Moreover, the plural permeable holes provided on the seat back might possibly reduce the structural strength of the seat back so that the seat back is liable to be cracked near the holes. Additionally, the seat back is difficult to be compliant with the bending or deformation of user's back curve. Thus, a good support for user's back cannot be provided and user is easy to feel fatigue and ache.

In view of the disadvantages found in the conventional seat back structure, the inventor of the present invention proposes a novel seat back structure with a purpose to improve the conventional seat back structure, according to his abundant knowledge and experience of manufacturing and developing in relevant field.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main object of the present invention is to provide a seat back structure which has good ventilation and flexibility enabling good compliance with the deformation of user's back curve so as to provide comfortability for users.

In order to achieve above object, the inventor of the present invention proposes a seat back structure which has a seat back body with flexibility, a plurality of bumps and a plurality of gaps being arranged alternately on the seat back body, the bumps and the gaps of two adjacent longitudinal rows being arranged in staggered manner so that one of the bumps corresponds to an gap of the adjacent row and one of the gaps corresponds to a bump of the adjacent row, and a spacing being further provided between two adjacent rows having alternate arrangement of bumps and gaps.

In the seat back structure as stated above, the bumps are formed as long ribs.

In the seat back structure as stated above, bulges smaller than the dimension of the gaps are further provided at respective gaps of the structure having the array of bumps and gaps.

In the seat back structure as stated above, the bumps and the bulges are integrally formed with the seat back body.

In the seat back structure as stated above, the structure of the array of bumps and gaps are in longitudinal arrangement.

In the seat back structure as stated above, the structure of the array of bumps and gaps are in transverse arrangement.

According to the above structure, the seat back structure of the present invention has bumps and bulges provided on the seat back body so that user's back has a distance formed with the seat back body. Further, air can flow smoothly in the clearances formed between the bumps and the bulges in such a manner that heat produced from user's back can be easily dissipated so as to keep comfortability and cooling of user's back.

Moreover, as the seat back structure of the present invention has bumps and bulges provided on the seat back body and thus a distance is formed between user's back and the seat back body to facilitate heat dissipation, conventional design having air permeable holes, which is destructive to the structural strength of the seat back, provided on the seat back can be avoided. In this manner, ventilation effect of seat back can be enhanced and prolonged service life of seat back can also be ensured.

Furthermore, as the bumps and the gaps of adjacent two rows on the seat back body are arranged in staggered manner according to the seat back structure of the present invention, so that thick portions and thin portions of the seat back can be distributed uniformly on the seat back body. In this manner, the flexibility of the overall seat back structure can be increased. The seat back can produce flexible bending so as to be compliant with the curve of user's back when user's back is leaned against the seat back. Therefore, good ergonomics design and good sitting effect can be achieved.

Further, as bumps and bulges are provided on the seat back body according to the seat back structure of the present invention, massage effect can be produced on user's back, when user's back is leaned against the seat back. In this way, acupoints of user's back can be stimulated to improve user's blood circulation and metabolism, and the chronic illness caused by long-time immobility of modern people can also be reduced.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The objects, the technical contents and the expected effect of the present invention will become more apparent from the detailed description of the preferred embodiment in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

Firstly referring to. FIGS. 1 and 2, the seat back structure of the present invention mainly has a plurality of bumps (2) and a plurality of gaps (3) arranged alternately on a seat back body (1), and each of the bumps (2) is formed as long-rib shape. Further, the structure of alternate arrangement of the bumps (2) and the gaps (3) is in longitudinal arrangement, and a spacing (5) is present between two adjacent side-by-side longitudinal rows of the bumps (2) and the gaps (3). Bulges (4) having dimension smaller than that of the gaps and integrally formed with the seat back body (1) are further provided in respective gaps (3). Further, the bumps (2) and the gaps (3) of two adjacent longitudinal rows are arranged in staggered manner so that one of the bumps (2) corresponds to one gap (3) of another adjacent longitudinal row, and one of the gaps (3) corresponds to one bump (2) of the another adjacent longitudinal row.

Configuring in this way, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, when user's back is leaned against the seat back of a chair, user's back abuts against the bumps (2) and the bulges (4) provided on the seat back body (1) and a distance is accordingly maintained between user's back and the seat back body (1), hence air is able to flow smoothly through the spacing (5) formed between adjacent longitudinal rows of the bumps (2) and the gaps (3), and through the gaps (3) formed between the bumps (2) and the gaps (3) arranged in longitudinal direction. The more the heat is produced on user's back, the better the convection effect of the air through the gaps (3) becomes, so that heat is dissipated in more efficient manner to keep user's back in cooling state. As the seat back of the present invention doesn't adopt such strength-destructive structure as conventional one having air permeable holes provided on seat back, not only good ventilation effect of the seat back can be enhanced but also prolonged service life of seat back can be ensured.

Furthermore, as the bumps (2) and the gaps (3) of adjacent rows on the seat back body (1) are arranged in staggered manner according to the seat back structure of the present invention, so that thick portions and thin portions of the seat back can be distributed uniformly on the seat back body (1). In this manner, the flexibility of the overall seat back structure can be increased. The seat back can produce flexible bending so as to produce deformation in compliance to the curve of user's back, when user's back is leaned against the seat back. Therefore, good ergonomics design and good sitting effect can be achieved. In this case, good support of overall back of user can be obtained, even sitting on the chair for a long period of time, user doesn't suffers the feeling of ache and fatigue.

Further, when user's back is leaned against the bumps (2) and the bulges (4) on the seat back according to the seat back structure of the present invention, massage effect can be produced on user's back. In this way, acupoints of user's back can be stimulated to improve user's blood circulation and metabolism, and the chronic illness caused by long-time immobility of modern people, like cybrarians or computerholic who usually face computers for a long time, can also be reduced.

The abovementioned embodiment or illustrations are not restrictions on the implementation aspect of the present invention. For example, the bumps (2) can be disposed transversely; the bulges (4) between two bumps (2) can be omitted. Appropriate variations and modifications made by the person having ordinary knowledge in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention are considered to be within the scope of the present invention.

It is apparent from the above description of the structure and implementation thereof, the present invention has the following advantages.

1.In the seat back structure of the present invention, bumps and bulges are provided on the seat back body so that a distance is maintained between the seat back body and user's back. Besides, as air can flow smoothly through the clearances between user's back and the bumps or the bulges, heat emitted from user's back can be dissipated in efficient way so that user's back can be kept in cool and comfortable state.

2. The seat back structure of the present invention has bumps and bulges provided on the seat back body and thus a distance is formed between user's back and the seat back body to facilitate heat dissipation, structural strength destructive design such as conventional one having air permeable holes provided on the seat back can be avoided. In this manner, ventilation effect of seat back can be enhanced and prolonged service life of seat back can also be ensured.

3.The bumps and the gaps of adjacent rows on the seat back body are arranged in staggered manner according to the seat back structure of the present invention so that thick portions and thin portions of the seat back can be distributed uniformly on the seat back body. In this manner, the flexibility of the overall seat back structure can be increased. The seat back can produce flexible bending so as to produce deformation in compliance to the curve of user's back, when user's back is leaned against the seat back. Therefore, good ergonomics design and good sitting effect can be achieved.

4.Bumps and bulges are provided on the seat back body according to the seat back structure of the present invention, massage effect can be produced on user's back, when user's back is leaned against the seat back. In this way, acupoints of user's back can be stimulated to improve user's blood circulation and metabolism, and the chronic illness caused by long-time immobility of modem people can also be reduced.
