The present disclosure relates to a seat cushion for a chair and a seat for a chair including the same, and more specifically, to a seat cushion for a chair, which has a plurality of cushion grooves deformed by a seat load of a user formed in a central portion of a lower surface thereof to improve a sitting feeling with a simple structure.
Generally, a sponge applied to a seat for a chair generates a sitting feeling with only material characteristics and shape without a separate structure that improves the sitting feeling. When a sponge with a uniform thickness is applied to the seat for a chair, there is a problem that the user feels that a shape of a central portion of the sponge is relatively raised due to a structure of the human body when the user sits on the seat for a chair, thereby causing the user to feel uncomfortable.
To solve such a problem, when the shape of the central portion of the sponge is formed concavely, there is a problem that a shape of an exterior of the seat for a chair is easily deformed and its thickness is reduced, thereby lowering cushioning strength.
In addition, the cushioning strength of the seat for a chair can be controlled by adjusting the physical properties of the sponge, but there is a limit to controlling the optimal physical properties of the sponge for the optimal cushioning strength of the seat for a chair.
Korean Patent Registration No. 10-2073647 (2020.02.05.) (hereinafter referred to as “related art”) discloses a “SEAT CUSHION FOR CHAIR” that is fastened to an upper portion of a seat frame for a chair to allow a user to sit comfortably.
The related art is composed of a memory foam, an elastic body, and a stopper spring. The memory foam forms an outer cushion. The elastic body is inserted into an accommodation portion formed at a lower portion of the memory foam, is formed of a softer elastic material than the memory foam, and has a plurality of fastening holes provided at both side portions to form an inner cushion. The stopper spring is fastened to the fastening holes of the elastic body, and outer springs are formed relatively large and long based on the center so that both sides of the seat cushion are higher than the center to support thighs when the user sits and prevent legs from spreading, thereby improving the sitting feeling of the user.
However, since, in the related art, the configuration for improving the sitting feeling is composed of the memory foam, the elastic body, and the stopper spring, there is a problem that an assembly time and a cost are increased due to a complicated structure.
The present disclosure is directed to providing a seat cushion for a chair, which has a plurality of cushion grooves deformed by a seat load of a user formed in a central portion of a lower surface thereof, thereby improving a sitting feeling with a simple structure, and a seat for a chair including the same.

A rear end of each of the plurality of third sub-cushion grooves 23 may be connected to one of the plurality of fourth main cushion grooves 14 disposed in a row immediately behind one of the plurality of second main cushion grooves 12 to which the front end of each of the plurality of third sub-cushion grooves 23 is connected.
A front end of each of the plurality of fourth sub-cushion grooves 24 may be connected to one of the plurality of third main cushion grooves 13. A rear end of each of the plurality of fourth sub-cushion grooves 24 may be connected to one of the plurality of fifth main cushion grooves 15 disposed in a row immediately behind one of the plurality of third main cushion grooves 13 to which the front end of each of the plurality of fourth sub-cushion grooves 24 is connected.
Meanwhile, an insertion groove 30 may be formed in the lower surface of the seat cushion 111. The seat plate 112 supporting the seat cushion 111 may be inserted into the insertion groove 30. The plurality of cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, and 24 may be formed in an upper surface of the insertion groove 30.
An edge groove 35 may be formed on an edge of the upper surface of the insertion groove 30. In this case, an edge protrusion 112A may be formed at an edge of the upper surface of the seat plate 112. The edge protrusion 112A formed on the edge of the upper surface of the seat plate 112 may be inserted into the edge groove 35. In this case, the plurality of cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, and 24 may be formed inside the edge groove 35 of the upper surfaces of the insertion groove 30.
However, the insertion groove 30 and the edge groove 35 are not necessarily formed in the lower surface of the seat cushion 111 and may not be formed therein.
Referring to
Depths T2 of the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 may be greater than half of the vertical thickness T of the seat cushion 111. In the present embodiment, since the vertical thickness T of the seat cushion 111 may be 63.86 mm and the depth T2 of each of the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 may be 33.86 mm, the vertical thicknesses T1 from the upper ends of the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 to the upper end of the seat cushion 111 may be 30 mm. However, since the vertical thickness T of the seat cushion 111 may be changed to various thicknesses of 50 to 70 mm depending on the specifications of the chair, the depths T2 of the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 are not necessarily formed to be greater than half of the vertical thickness T of the seat cushion 111 and may be changed to various depths within the range in which the vertical thicknesses T1 from the upper ends of the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 to the upper end of the seat cushion 111 ranges 30 to 40 mm.
Referring to
In addition, the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 may easily deform the central portion of the seat cushion 111 by the weight of the user who sits on the seat 110, and the plurality of sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 may be deformed in a direction in which the user sits when pressed by the weight of the user who sits on the seat 110 so that inner walls of the plurality of sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 tilt, and the inner walls tilt by the width of each of the plurality of sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24, and the deformation of the entire seat cushion 111 increases accordingly, thereby allowing the user to feel the improvement in sitting feeling. Since the deformation of the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 and the plurality of sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24) occurs on the lower surface of the seat cushion 111, the exterior of the seat cushion 111 does not change, and thus the user may feel comfortable.
As described above, in the seat cushion 111 for a chair according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, since the plurality of sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 are formed to have narrower widths and smaller depths than the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15, when the user sits on the seat 110 of the chair 1, the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 and the plurality of sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 are deformed by the weight of the user, and when the inner walls of the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 and the inner walls of the plurality of sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24 are tilted, the overall shape of the seat cushion 111 is not excessively damaged, thereby improving the sitting feeling. In addition, through the difference in the vertical depths of the plurality of main cushion grooves 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15 and the plurality of sub-cushion grooves 21, 22, 23, and 24, it is possible to prevent the user from feeling that the part of the seat, which is in direct contact with the user, collapses, thereby improving the sitting feeling over the entire area of the seat 110.
Those skilled in the art to which the present disclosure pertains will be able to understand that the present disclosure can be carried out in other specific forms without changing the technical spirit or essential features thereof. Accordingly, it should be understood that the above-described embodiments are illustrative and not restrictive in all respects. The scope of the present disclosure is defined by the appended claims rather than the detailed description, and all changes or modifications derived from the meaning and scope of the claims and equivalent concepts thereof should be construed as being included in the scope of the present disclosure.
