SECTIONAL PACKAGING BOX

Abstract
A sectional packaging box for packaging a product includes two side panels and two bendable end connectors. The two side panels each define a notch and are oppositely arranged. The two bendable end connectors each define two long slots and are oppositely arranged. The two side panels and the two end connectors cooperatively form an enclosed space. The two side panels latch within the long slots, and the two end connectors. An end of the two end connectors latch within the notches.
Description
FIELD

The subject matter herein generally relates to packaging boxes, and more particularly to a sectional packaging box for packaging a product.

BACKGROUND

Generally, packaging boxes are filled with polystyrene or foam for packaging a product for shipping. Thus, taking out the product from the box may be troublesome and messy.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Implementations of the present disclosure will now be described, by way of embodiments only, with reference to the attached figures.

FIG. 1 is an assembled, isometric view of an embodiment of a sectional packaging box.

FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the sectional packaging box in FIG. 1.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous elements. Additionally, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features. The description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein.

Several definitions that apply throughout this disclosure will now be presented.

The term “coupled” is defined as connected, whether directly or indirectly through intervening components, and is not necessarily limited to physical connections. The connection can be such that the objects are permanently connected or releasably connected. The term “substantially” is defined to be essentially conforming to the particular dimension, shape, or other word that “substantially” modifies, such that the component need not be exact. For example, “substantially cylindrical” means that the object resembles a cylinder, but can have one or more deviations from a true cylinder. The term “comprising” means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in a so-described combination, group, series and the like.

FIGS. 1-2 show an embodiment of a sectional packaging box 100 including two side panels 20 and two end connectors 10. Each of opposite longitudinal side edges of each of the two side panels 20 defines a notch 21, and each of the two end connectors 10 defines two long slots 111 and 112.

The two side panels 20 face each other, and the two end connectors 10 face each other. The two end connectors 10 and the two side panels 20 cooperatively form an enclosed space. The two side panels 20 are latched within the long slots 111, 112, and the two end connectors 10 are latched within the notches 21 of the side panels 20 to form a box.

In one embodiment, as shown in FIG. 2, each end connector 10 includes an end panel 11, two bottom panels 14 each extending substantially perpendicular from the end panel 11, a first insertion panel 12 extending substantially perpendicularly from an end of the bottom panel 14, and a second insertion panel 13 extending from each of opposite ends of the end panel 11. Each of the two bottom panels 14 is coupled between the corresponding first insertion panel 12 and the second insertion panel 13. The first insertion panel 12 and the second insertion panel 13 are substantially parallel. The bottom panel 14 is substantially perpendicular to the first insertion panel 12 and the second insertion panel 13. In one embodiment, the first insertion panels 12 and the second insertion panels 13 are bendable.

The first long slot 111 and the second long slot 112 are substantially parallel. In one embodiment, a height of the first insertion panel 12 and a height of the second insertion panel 13 are the same. In another embodiment, a height of the first insertion panel 12 may be different from a height of the second insertion panel 13.

Each of the second insertion panel 13 defines two first slots 131, and each bottom panel 14 defines two second slots 141. Each of the first slot 131 is in communication with a corresponding one of the second slots 141. The two first slots 131 and the two second slots 141 are respectively located at opposite ends of the second insertion panel 13 and the bottom panel 14. When a product is packaged in the sectional packaging box 100, the side panels 20 are latched within the first slots 131 and the second slots 141. In one embodiment, a portion of the bottom panel 14 extending beyond the second slots 141 protects the sectional packaging box 100 if the sectional packing box 100 is dropped.

Each of the opposite longitudinal side edges of each side panel 20 defines the notch 21. The notches 21 of each side panel 20 are aligned with each other. One of the longitudinal side edges of each side panel 20 defines two first receiving slots 22 respectively adjacent opposite ends the side panel 20, and the other one of the longitudinal side edges of each side panel 20 defines two second receiving slots 23 respectively adjacent opposite ends of the side panel 20. A length of the first receiving slots 22 is longer than a length of the second receiving slots 23. The first receiving slots 22 are aligned with the corresponding second receiving slots 23. The notches 21 of each of the side panels 20 are located between the two first receiving slots 22 and between the two second receiving slots 23, respectively. An open end of the notches 21, the first receiving slots 22, and the second receiving slots 23 is chamfered in relation to the corresponding side edge of the side panel 20. Thus, the two end connectors 10 can be easily latched with the two side panels 20.

As shown in FIG. 1, when the two end plates 10 and the two side plates 20 are assembled together to form the sectional packaging box 100, each of opposite ends of the two side plates 20 are latched within the first long slots 111 and the second long slots 112 of the two end plates 10. The first insertion panels 12 are latched within the notches 21. A portion of the side plates 20 between the notches 21 and the first receiving slots 22 and between the notches 21 and the second receiving slots 23 are latched within the first slots 131 and the second slots 141. The first insertion panels 12 and the second insertion panels 13 extend beyond a plane of the bottom panels 14 so that an imaginary plane connecting an end of the first insertion panels 12 and the second insertion panels 13 is not coplanar with the corresponding bottom panels 14 of the same side of the sectional packaging box 100.

To disassemble the sectional packaging box 100, the first insertion panels 12 are removed from the notches 21. The bottom panels 14 and the second insertion panels 13 are removed from the side panels 20. Then, the side panels 20 are removed from the first long slots 111 and the second long slots 112.

By using the sectional packaging box 100, polystyrene or foam may not be required to package boxes, thereby saving costs of packaging products.

The embodiments shown and described above are only examples. Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present technology have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the present disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in the detail, including in matters of shape, size and arrangement of the parts within the principles of the present disclosure up to, and including, the full extent established by the broad general meaning of the terms used in the claims.
