Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a sectional swimming pool, and more particularly to a sectional swimming pool that has simple and watertight structure to enable easy assembling and future maintenance thereof.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional sectional swimming pool usually includes a main body formed by assembling a plurality of wall units together and provided with more than one water outlet and water inlet; a water circulating and filtering system; a water pipe system connected to the water inlet, the water outlet, and the water circulating and filtering system; and a supporting frame assembly fixedly mounted to outer sides of the main body to reinforce the structure of the main body. Water in the sectional swimming pool may flow from the water outlet to the water circulating and filtering system via the water pipe system for filtering, and the filtered water flows through the water pipe system into the swimming pool via the water inlet.

The above-described conventional sectional swimming pool provides the advantages of short construction time, low cost, easy to maintain, and easy to modify. However, the main body of the above-described conventional sectional swimming pool has the disadvantages of having too many parts and requiring a lot of time, procedures, and labor to assemble. Moreover, since there are too many joints on the assembled main body, the whole sectional swimming pool tends to have relatively weak structural strength and is subject to leakage.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide a sectional swimming pool that has simple and watertight structure to enable easy assembling and future maintenance thereof.

To achieve the above and other objects, the sectional swimming pool according to the present invention includes an inner wall unit having at least one interconnecting section and a side section connected to each of two lateral connecting edges of the interconnecting section, and a water-sealing packing strip disposed at each joint between the interconnecting section and the side sections; and an outer wall unit having two opposite side wall panels and at least two opposite interconnecting wall panels located between the two side wall panels. The outer wall unit is connected to the inner wall unit to enclose four outer sides of the inner wall unit with a space existed between the outer and the inner wall unit.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Please refer to FIGS. 3 and 4 that are assembled and exploded perspective views of a sectional swimming pool according to the present invention constructed from an inner wall unit 1 and an outer wall unit 2, which may be made of, for example, a fiber-glass material to minimize a total weight of the sectional swimming pool of the present invention.

FIGS. 1 and 2 are assembled and exploded perspective views, respectively, of the inner wall unit 1 for the sectional swimming pool of the present invention. The inner wall unit 1 includes at least one interconnecting section 11 and a side section 12 connected at an inner connecting edge to each of two lateral connecting edges of the interconnecting section 11. A water-sealing packing strip 13 is mounted at each joint of the interconnecting section 11 and the side sections 12. The interconnecting section 11 is provided along each of its two lateral and two upper connecting edges with a flange 111, and the side sections 12 are provided along each of their inner and upper connecting edges with a flange 121. The interconnecting section 11 and the two side sections 12 are connected together by fastening elements 14 extended through the flanges 111, 121 correspondingly provided at the lateral connecting edges of the interconnecting section 11 and the inner connecting edges of the side sections 12. The interconnecting section 11 and the side sections 12 are provided on respective outer wall surfaces with a plurality of reinforcing ribs 112, 122 to obtain increased structural strength.

Please refer to FIGS. 3 and 4. The outer wall unit 2 is connected to the assembled inner wall unit 1 to enclose four outer sides of the inner wall unit 1 with a space 20 existed between the inner wall unit 1 and the outer wall unit 2. The outer wall unit 2 includes two side wall panels 21 for separately connecting to the two side sections 12 of the inner wall unit 1, and at least two interconnecting wall panels 22 for separately connecting to opposite upper connecting edges of the interconnecting section 11 of the inner wall unit 1. The side wall panels 21 are provided along each of their upper, inner, and lower connecting edges with a flange 211, and the interconnecting wall panels 22 are provided along each of their upper, lateral, and lower edges with a flange 221. The side wall panels 21 and the interconnecting wall panels 22 are connected together by fastening elements 23 extended through the flanges 211, 221 correspondingly formed at the inner connecting edges of the side wall panels 21 and the lateral connecting edges of the interconnecting wall panels 22. The side wall panels 21 and the interconnecting wall panels 22 are provided on respective inner wall surfaces with a plurality of reinforcing ribs 212, 222. At least one of the interconnecting wall panels 22 is provided with an opening 223 openably closed with a cover 224.

FIG. 5 is a sectional view taken along line A-A of FIG. 3. Please refer to FIGS. 3, 4, and 5 at the same time. To assemble the sectional swimming pool of the present invention, first align the flanges 111 at the lateral connecting edges of the interconnecting section 11 with the flanges 121 at the inner connecting edges of the two side sections 12 and then join the aligned flanges 111, 121 together using fastening elements 14 to form an assembled inner wall unit 1. One water-sealing packing strip 13 is disposed between each pair of joined flanges 111, 121 to effectively prevent water held in the inner wall unit 1 from leaking via the joints of the interconnecting section 11 and the side sections 12. Thereafter, connect the side wall panels 21 to the side sections 12 by aligning the flanges 211 at the upper connecting edges of the side wall panels 21 with the flanges 121 at the upper connecting edges of the side sections 12 and joining the corresponding flanges 211, 121 together using fastening elements 23; and connect the interconnecting wall panels 22 to the interconnecting section 11 and the side wall panels 21 by aligning the flanges 221 at the upper and lateral connecting edges of the interconnecting wall panels 22 with the flanges 111 and 211 at the upper connecting edges of the interconnecting section 11 and the inner connecting edges of the side wall panels 21, respectively, and joining the corresponding flanges 221 & 111, 221 & 211 together using fastening elements 23 to form an assembled sectional swimming pool of the present invention.

With the reinforcing ribs 112, 122 formed on the outer wall surfaces of the inner wall unit 1, and the reinforcing ribs 212, 222 formed on the inner wall surfaces of the outer wall unit 2, the sectional swimming pool of the present invention may have strengthened structure.

A water and/or gas supply device 3 is communicable with an interior of the inner wall unit 1 for supplying water and/or gas into the sectional swimming pool. The water/gas supply device 3 may be located in the space 20 existed between the inner wall unit 1 and the outer wall unit 2, or at a suitable position outside the sectional swimming pool.

To assemble the outer wall unit 2 to the inner wall unit 1 and to mount the water/gas supply device 3 in the space 20, a worker may enter the space 20 via the opening 223 provided on the interconnecting wall panel 22. When such assembling and mounting have been completed, the opening 223 is openably closed with the cover 224.

With the above arrangements, the sectional swimming pool of the present invention may have a simple and watertight structure to enable easy assembling and future maintenance, and is therefore practical for use.
