Abstract
A plumbing device used on a commercial grade urinal comprises an sturdy and ridged elongated square shaped plastic cover (1), a handle (4) attached to the face of said sturdy and ridged elongated square shaped plastic cover, two hollow half circle shaped plastic covers (6), a hinged half circle clamp (2) with 90 degree flanges having a hole on each flange (5), designed to restrict access to the inside of a urinal when said urinal is out of order, and/or not ready to be used to prevent foreign objects, liquids or any urine/fecal matter from entering the urinal, and/or plumbing system, as this will cause a biohazard. The hinged half circle clamp (2) attached to the top of the small hollow half circle plastic cover (6) so as to create easy and secure lockability around the pipe that protrudes from the top of a urinal. The handle (4) is attached to said sturdy and ridged elongated square shaped plastic cover (1) so as to make installing and removing the entire device easy and effortless. The hole on each 90 degree flange (5) is placed center of said 90 degree flange so as to allow the shackle of a lock to pass through and be secured allowing the whole device to then be locked in place.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of Invention

My invention relates to toilet fixture devices specifically designed to be secured to the front of a urinal that is of any shape, size or dimension, to be easily removable and easily securable when needed. Particularly, the invention relates to a urinal cover that is adapted to be locked and unlocked to deny access to a urinal when it shall not be used.

2. Description of the Prior Art

Urinal covers have been around a long time and have been designed for urinals that are out of order and unsafe to use. Such covers are made out of thin adhesive plastic wrap using heat to apply it to said urinal. These covers are very easy to get through and are not capable of keeping someone from accessing the inside of the urinal it is covering. In other instances, the urinal is wrapped in a trash bag with some sort of tape. This form of cover is also very easy to rip into and access the inside of the urinal it is covering.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing, it is a general object of the present invention to provide a secure device that can be installed temporarily to a commercial grade urinal.

Another object of the invention is to keep a urinal, which is out of service or new and not ready to be used, locked and secure until said urinal is fixed and/or ready to be used.

Yet another object of the invention is to deny access to the inside of the urinal to prevent foreign objects, chemicals and urine/fecal matter from entering the plumbing system.

Yet another object of the invention is to provide a way to keep plumbers or whomever may be installing the commercial toilet systems and urinals themselves, safe from any biohazards that may occur due to potential unsafe objects, chemicals and urine/fecal matter entering the urinal and plumbing system.

Other objects will in part be obvious and be pointed out in the following description of the invention and the accompanying drawings, wherein is disclosed a preferred embodiment of this inventive concept.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

In the drawings:

FIG. 1 is a full angled view displaying the invention with the lockable clamp fully open and ready to install.

FIG. 2 is a similar angled view as FIG. 1, but is showing the invention fully secured and locked in place.

FIG. 3 is a right side view of the invention by itself.

FIG. 4 is a similar view as FIG. 3, but is showing a left side view of the invention by itself.

FIG. 5 is a close-up angled view of the invention being inserted onto the urinal.

FIG. 6 is a close-up angled view of the invention installed completely and locked in place.

FIG. 7 is a close-up view from the back side of the urinal showing the invention installed with the locking clamp open.

FIG. 8 is a close-up view from the back side of the urinal showing the invention installed with the locking clamp closed and locked in place.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring in detail to the drawings, the lockable urinal cover comprises of multiple parts. Those parts being the sturdy and ridged elongated square shaped plastic cover (1), designed to slide perfectly over the front of a urinal, using a handle (4) attached to the outside front of the lockable urinal cover, that provides an easy way to move the lockable urinal cover on and off the urinal. The top of the lockable urinal cover are two hollow half circle shaped plastic pieces (6) that are part of the sturdy and ridged elongated square shaped plastic cover (1) itself. These two hollow half circle shaped plastic pieces (6) are to provide a ridged cover for the locking bolt and chrome cover that are attached to the urinal itself. The last part of the lockable urinal cover, is the two piece half circle clamp with 90 degree flanges (2) and a hinge (3) that allows the half circle clamp to open and close around the pipe that comes out of the top of a urinal. The holes cut out in the 90 degree flanges (5) provide a passage for the shackle of a lock (7) to loop through and be secured in place once the hinged half circle clamp is closed around the pipe. Only the front half of the half circle clamp is attached to the top of the hollow half circle plastic piece (6) to provide rigidity and strength, while also allowing only the back half of the hinged half circle clamp to be opened and closed around the pipe exiting the top of the urinal.
