Claims
- 1. A new and improved security lock for a door situated within first and second parallel door frames, each of said door frames having first and second sides, comprising:
a door having a given width and have first and second sides, and having a keyed lock at or near the surface of said first side; a rod having a length in excess of the given width of said door, and having a first end of said rod pivotally connected to the first side of said door frame, and the second end of said rod being latchable to the first side of said second door frame, whereby the rotation of said key in one direction causes said second end of said rod to be latched, and the rotation of said key in a second direction causes said end to be unlatched.
- 2. A new and improved security lock for a door situated within first and second parallel door frames each having a receptacle for receiving the remote ends, respectively, of a rod, comprising:
a keyed lock at or near the front side of the door; a rod, situated between the front and back sides of the door, connected to said keyed lock whose overall length is functionally related to the rotation of the key in the keyed lock, whereby the rotation of said key causes the two rod remote ends either to enter or to exit the said receptacles in the said door frames, thereby either locking or unlocking the door from the front side of the door.
