Claims
- 1. A dock closure comprising:
a side pad adapted for mounting relative to a dock opening; a selectively releasable side curtain adapted for being selectively, releasably mounted relative to the side pad; and at lease one zipper member having a first portion secured to said side pad and a second portion secured to said side curtain for selectively, releasably securing the side curtain relative to the side pad.
- 2. The dock closure according to claim 1, wherein the first portion of at least one zipper member is secured to an edge portion of said side pad for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain after the second portion of said zipper is engaged with the first portion.
- 3. The dock closure according to claim 1, and further including two zipper members, a first zipper member being secured to a first edge of said side pad and a second zipper member being secured to a second edge of said side pad for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain after the first zipper member is engaged and said second zipper member is engaged.
- 4. The dock closure according to claim 1, and further including stays disposed relative to said side curtain for stabilizing said side curtain during use.
- 5. The dock closure according to claim 1, wherein said at least one zipper member extends along a predetermined length of said side pad and said side curtain.
- 6. A dock closure comprising:
a side pad adapted for mounting relative to a dock opening; a selectively releasable side curtain adapted for being selectively, releasably mounted relative to the side pad; and at least one snap stud and snap button member having one snap stud or snap button secured to said side pad and a second snap button or snap studs secured to said side curtain for selectively, releasably securing the side curtain relative to the side pad.
- 7. The dock closure according to claim 6, wherein the at least one snap stud and snap button are secured to an edge portion of said side pad for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain after the one snap stud or snap button is engaged with the second snap button or snap stud.
- 8. The dock closure according to claim 6, and further including two snap stud and snap button members, a first snap stud and snap button member being secured to a first edge of said side pad and a second snap stud and snap button member being secured to a second edge of said side pad for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain after the first snap stud and snap button member are engaged and said second snap stud and snap button member are engaged.
- 9. The dock closure according to claim 6, and further including stays disposed relative to said side curtain for stabilizing said side curtain during use.
- 10. The dock closure according to claim 6, wherein said at least one snap stud and snap button member includes a plurality of snap studs and snap buttons that extend along a predetermined length of said side pad and said side curtain.
- 11. A dock closure comprising:
a side pad adapted for mounting relative to a dock opening; a selectively pivotable side curtain adapted for being selectively pivotally mounted relative to the side pad; and at least one zipper member or other mechanical attachment means having a first portion secured to said side pad and a second portion secured to said side curtain for selectively permitting one side of the side curtain to be released from the side pad to enable the side curtain to pivot to a storage position.
- 12. The dock closure according to claim 11, wherein the at least one zipper member is secured to an edge portion of said side pad for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain when the zipper is engaged for disposing the side curtain in an operative position for engaging a side of a vehicle.
- 13. The dock closure according to claim 11, wherein the side curtain is sewn to the side pad for enabling a pivotable movement between the side curtain and the side pad.
- 14. The dock closure according to claim 11, and further including stays disposed relative to said side curtain for stabilizing said side curtain during use.
- 15. The dock closure according to claim 11, wherein a pivot for the side curtain extends along a predetermined length of said side pad and said side curtain.
- 16. A dock closure comprising:
a side pad adapted for mounting relative to a dock opening; a selectively pivotable side curtain adapted for being selectively pivotally mounted relative to the side pad; and a snap stud and snap button member or other mechanical attachment means having at least one of said snap stud or snap button secured to one end of the side curtain and a second one of said snap button or snap stud secured to said side pad to enable the side curtain to pivot to a storage position.
- 17. The dock closure according to claim 16, wherein the snap stud and snap button member is secured to an edge portion of said side pad for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain when snap studs and snap buttons are engaged for disposing the side curtain in an operative position for engaging a side of a vehicle.
- 18. The dock closure according to claim 16, wherein the side curtain is sewn to the side pad for enabling a pivotable movement between the side curtain and the side pad.
- 19. The dock closure according to claim 16, and further including stays disposed relative to said side curtain for stabilizing said side curtain during use.
- 20. The dock closure according to claim 16, wherein a pivot for the side curtain extends along a predetermined length of said side pad and said side curtain.
- 21. A dock closure comprising:
a side pad adapted for mounting relative to a dock opening; a selectively pivotable side curtain sewn to the side pad for being selectively pivotally mounted relative to the side pad; and stay members removably mounted relative to the side curtain for providing rigidity to the side curtain during normal use while enabling the side curtain to be moved to a storage position when the stay member are removed from the side curtain.
- 22. The dock closure according to claim 21, and further including a vertical flap for selectively permitting access to said stay members for enabling manual removal from said side curtain.
- 23. The dock closure according to claim 21, wherein the side curtain is sewn to the side pad for enabling a pivotable movement between the side curtain and the side pad.
- 24. The dock closure according to claim 21, wherein a pivot for the side curtain extends along a predetermined length of said side pad and said side curtain.
- 25. A dock closure comprising:
a side pad adapted for mounting relative to a dock opening; a selectively releasable side curtain adapted for being selectively, releasable mounted relative to the side pad; and at least one fastener attachment reinforced with vertical stiffeners for selectively, releasably securing the side pad relative to the side curtain.
- 26. The dock closure according to claim 25, wherein the at least fastener attachment is secured to an edge portion of said side pad for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain after the at least fastener attachment is secured.
- 27. The dock closure according to claim 25, and further including a plurality of fastener attachments arranged along an edge of said side pad and said side curtain for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain after the plurality of fastener attachments are engaged.
- 28. The dock closure according to claim 25, and further including stays disposed relative to said side curtain for stabilizing said side curtain during use.
- 29. The dock closure according to claim 25, wherein said at least one fastener attachment includes a plurality of fastener attachments extending along a predetermined length of said side pad and said side curtain.
- 30. A dock closure comprising:
a side pad adapted for mounting relative to a dock opening; a selectively releasable side curtain adapted for being selectively, releasably mounted relative to the side pad; and a threaded fastener and nut having one threaded fastener and nut secured to said side pad with a vertical stiffener and a second nut and threaded fastener secured to said side curtain with a vertical stiffener for selectively, releasable securing the side curtain relative to the side pad.
- 31. The dock closure according to claim 30, wherein the threaded fastener and nut is secured to an edge portion of said side pad for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain after the one threaded fastener and nut is secured the second nut and threaded fastener.
- 32. The dock closure according to claim 30, and further including a plurality of threaded fasteners and nuts arranged along an edge of said side pad and said side curtain for ensuring the correct positioning of said side curtain after the plurality of threaded fasteners and nuts are engaged.
- 33. The dock closure according to claim 30, and further including stays disposed relative to said side curtain for stabilizing said side curtain during use.
- 34. The dock closure according to claim 30, wherein said threaded fasteners and nuts extend along a predetermined length of said side pad and said side curtain.
