Claims
- 1. A selector handle for shifting gears in an automatic transmission comprising:
a selector handle housing (11); a push button (4) for actuating a tie rod (6) disposed within said housing (11), said tie rod (6) having a recess (10) therein; a support lever (1) having one end supported by the housing (11) and an opposite end (15); a deflecting lever (2) movable within said housing about a pivot (7) and having a pin-shaped extension (14) for cooperation and engagement with said recess (10) of said tie rod (6); a moveable joint comprising a cylinder pin (3) between said support lever (1) and said deflecting lever (2); a driver member (16, 16′) on said push button (4) for engaging said opposite end (15) of said support lever (1); and wherein, when said push button (4) is actuated, a movement of said push button (4) toward said tie rod (6) cause a less than 1:1 translation of the movement of said bush button (4) to a movement of the tie rod (6).
- 2. The selector handle according to claim 1, additionally comprising a T-shaped element (13) within said housing (11) for guiding said push button (4).
- 3. The selector handle according to claim 1, wherein said support lever has a spherically-shaped lower end.
- 4. The selector handle according to claim 1, additionally comprising a distance element (12) disposed between said support lever (1) and said tie rod (6) and wherein a movement of said support lever (1) is limited by said distance element (12).
- 5. The selector handle according to claim 1, wherein said deflecting lever (2) comprises a pin-shaped elastic protrusion (14) extending into said recess (10) of said tie rod (6) for moving said tie rod (6).
