Claims
- 1. An educational device,
- comprising an elongated stick having two end portions, and a pair of knobs of malleable moldable pressure sensitive adhesive material on the respective end portions of said stick,
- said adhesive material being microcrystalline wax with mineral oil in the proportion of 2 to 12% mixed with said microcrystalline wax to provide greater tackiness,
- said microcrystalline wax being of a flexible type with a melting point between 150.degree. and 180.degree. F. and a needle penetration between 20 and 50 when measured at 77.degree. F. in accordance with ASTM Standard No. D1321.
- 2. An educational device,
- comprising a construction member having a plurality of extremities,
- and knobs of malleable moldable pressure sensitive adhesive material on the respective extremities of said member,
- said adhesive material being microcrystalline wax with mineral oil in the proportion of 2 to 12% mixed with said microcrystalline wax to provide greater tackiness,
- said microcrystalline wax being of a flexible type with a melting point between 150.degree. and 180.degree. F. and a needle penetration between 20 and 50 when measured at 77.degree. F. in accordance with ASTM Standard No. D1321.
- 3. An educational device,
- comprising a plate-like member having a periphery of a predetermined shape,
- and a plurality of knobs of malleable moldable pressure sensitive adhesive material on said member at points around said periphery,
- said adhesive material being microcrystalline wax with mineral oil in the proportion of 2 to 12% mixed with said microcrystalline wax to provide greater tackiness,
- said microcrystalline wax being of a flexible type with a melting point between 150.degree. and 180.degree. F. and a needle penetration between 20 and 50 when measured at 77.degree. F. in accordance with ASTM Standard No. D1321.
- 4. An educational device,
- comprising a construction stick having a malleable moldable adhesive end body,
- said adhesive end body having the capability of being pressed together at fingertip pressure with the end body of another stick of the same kind,
- to form a joint of the combined adhesive end bodies able to hold the sticks in any desired relationship,
- said adhesive end body comprising a malleable pressure sensitive adhesive microcrystalline wax,
- said adhesive end body being microcrystalline wax with mineral oil in the proportion of 2 to 12% mixed with said microcrystalline wax to provide greater tackiness,
- said microcrystalline wax being of a flexible type with a melting point between 150.degree. and 180.degree. F. and a needle penetration between 20 and 50 when measured at 77.degree. F. in accordance with ASTM Standard No. D1321.
- 5. An educational device,
- comprising a stick having a malleable moldable adhesive material in the form of a knob on at least one of its ends,
- said adhesive material being pressure sensitive and requiring only fingertip pressure to cause such knobs of a plurality of such sticks to cling together,
- said adhesive material being a wax of a malleable type,
- said knob of adhesive material being readily molded to any desired shape and able to hold a plurality of such sticks in any desired relationship,
- said adhesive material being microcrystalline wax with mineral oil in the proportion of 2 to 12% mixed with said microcrystalline wax to provide greater tackiness,
- said microcrystalline wax being of a flexible type with a melting point between 150.degree. and 180.degree. F. and a needle penetration between 20 and 50 when measured at 77.degree. F. in accordance with ASTM Standard No. D1321.
- 6. An educational device,
- comprising a set of sticks,
- each of said sticks having two end portions and a knob of malleable moldable pressure sensitive adhesive material on each end portion,
- said sticks being adhered to one another to form a figure,
- said adhesive material being able to retain the shape of said figure and make it self-supporting,
- said adhesive material being perpetually pressure sensitive so as to permit an unlimited amount of assembly, disassembly and reassembly of the sticks,
- said adhesive material being microcrystalline wax with mineral oil in the proportion of 2 to 12% mixed with said microcrystalline wax to provide greater tackiness,
- said microcrystalline wax being of a flexible type with a melting point between 150.degree. and 180.degree. F. and a needle penetration between 20 and 50 when measured at 77.degree. F. in accordance with ASTM Standard No. D1321.
- 7. An educational device,
- comprising a set of sticks,
- each of said sticks having a knob of malleable moldable pressure sensitive adhesive wax at each end,
- said sticks being adhered together end to end,
- said adhesive wax being adherable to a supporting surface and able to hold said set erect,
- said adhesive wax being perpetually pressure sensitive so as to permit an unlimited amound of assembly, disassembly, and reassembly of the sticks,
- said adhesive wax being microcrystalline wax with mineral oil in the proportion of 2 to 12% mixed with said microcrystalline wax to provide greater tackiness,
- said microcrystalline wax being of a flexible type with a melting point between 150.degree. and 180.degree. F. and a needle penetration between 20 and 50 when measured at 77.degree. F. in accordance with ASTM Standard No. D1321.
- 8. An educational device,
- comprising a construction stick having two end portions with a knob of wax on each end portion,
- said wax being a pressure sensitive adhesive wax,
- said knob of wax having the capability of being pressed together at fingertip pressure with the wax knobs of any desired number of sticks of the same kind,
- said wax being malleable and readily moldable, yet able to hold the sticks at any desired angle,
- said adhesive wax being microcrystalline wax with mineral oil in the proportion of 2 to 12% mixed with said microcrystalline wax to provide greater tackiness,
- said microcrystalline wax being of a flexible type with a melting point between 150.degree. and 180.degree. F. and a needle penetration between 20 and 50 when measured at 77.degree. F. in accordance with ASTM Standard No. D1321.
