Claims
- 1. A self-cooling package for beverages, comprising an internal cavity having a substantially conical shape in vertical section and having a plurality of channels extending substantially from the base of said internal cavity in a vertical direction to the vertex of said internal cavity, the cavity containing a coolant that evaporates under the effect of a depression, relative to atmospheric pressure, that is sustained by the adsorption of the vapors of the coolant.
- 2. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 1, wherein the ratio of the volume to the surface area of said internal cavity is three to seven times smaller than the ratio of the volume to the surface area of the package.
- 3. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 1, wherein said internal cavity has a volume smaller than or equal to 2 cl for a package with a volume of 33 cl.
- 4. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 1, wherein said internal cavity has a contact surface greater than or equal to 50 cm2 for a package with a volume of 33 cl.
- 5. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 1, wherein said internal cavity is sealed to the walls of the package.
- 6. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 1, wherein the coolant is water.
- 7. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 1, wherein the coolant is water containing an additive that lowers its temperature of solidification.
- 8. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 1, wherein the coolant partially fills said internal cavity.
- 9. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 1, wherein the internal walls of said internal cavity are partially covered with a hydrophilic porous material.
- 10. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 1, wherein said internal cavity constitutes a double bottom of the package.
- 11. A self-cooling package for beverages, comprising:an internal cavity having a substantially conical shape in vertical section and having a star shape in horizontal section; a fitting for operatively connecting the cavity to an external pump, the cavity containing a coolant that evaporates under the effect of a depression that is sustained by the adsorption of the vapors of the coolant.
- 12. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 11, wherein said external pump comprises an air-tight cartridge containing a material capable of adsorbing the vapors of the coolant.
- 13. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 12, wherein the material capable of adsorbing the vapors of the coolant is a desiccant.
- 14. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 11, wherein said external pump is a mechanical vacuum pump.
- 15. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 11, wherein said external pump is a cryogenic pump.
- 16. A self-cooling package for beverages, comprising a cooling means internal to said package and a connection means to a pumping means external to said package, the internal cooling means being formed by a cavity having a substantially conical shape, said cavity containing a refrigerant liquid that evaporates under the effect of a depression, and internal walls of the cavity being partially covered with a hydrophilic porous material.
- 17. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 16, wherein said external pumping means comprises an air-tight cartridge containing a material capable of adsorbing the vapors of the coolant.
- 18. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 16, wherein the material capable of adsorbing the vapors of the coolant is a desiccant.
- 19. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 16, wherein said external pumping means is a mechanical vacuum pump.
- 20. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 16, wherein said external pumping means is a cryogenic pump.
- 21. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages, comprising:an internal cavity having a substantially conical shape in vertical section and having a star shape in horizontal section; pumping means; a fitting operatively connecting said internal cavity to said pumping means, said internal cavity containing a coolant that evaporates under the effect of a depression that is sustained by the adsorption of the vapors of the coolant.
- 22. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein said internal cavity is sealed to the walls of the package.
- 23. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein the coolant is water.
- 24. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein the coolant is water containing an additive that lowers its temperature of solidification.
- 25. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein the coolant partially fills said internal cavity.
- 26. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein the internal walls of the cavity are partially covered with a hydrophilic porous material.
- 27. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein the package is a steel can.
- 28. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein the package is an aluminium can.
- 29. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 27, wherein said internal cavity is made of the same material as the package.
- 30. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein the package is a bottle made of resistant plastic (PET plastic).
- 31. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein the package is a glass bottle.
- 32. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein said pumping means comprises an air-tight cartridge containing a material capable of adsorbing the vapors of the coolant.
- 33. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 32, wherein the material capable of adsorbing the vapors of the coolant is a desiccant.
- 34. A self-cooling package for beverages according to claim 21, wherein said pumping means is a mechanical vacuum pump.
- 35. A self-cooling packaging system for beverages according to claim 21, wherein said pumping means is a cryogenic pump.
