Claims
- 1. Self tapping screw, comprising a screw head, a screw shaft adjacent to the screw head, and a screw tip, where first and second thread sections have been formed on the screw shaft and are separated by a thread-free section, and where threads of the first and second thread sections have different pitches, characterized in that the threads of the first and second thread sections have an opposite pitch.
- 2. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that a pitch angle of the first and second thread sections is of equal size.
- 3. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that a pitch angle of the first and second thread sections is of a different size.
- 4. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that a thread height between the threads of the first thread section near the screw head is smaller than a thread height between threads of the second thread section near the screw tips.
- 5. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that an outer thread diameter of the first thread section near the screw head is smaller than an outer thread diameter of the second thread section near the screw tip and where the first and second thread sections have the same root diameter.
- 6. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that the length of the first thread section close to the screw tip is about 2.0 to 3.0 times larger than the second thread section near the screw head.
- 7. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that the screw head is 2 to 3 mm high.
- 8. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that the thread-free section has a larger diameter than a root diameter of the first and second thread sections.
- 9. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that the threads of the second thread section on the screw tip continue to its end.
- 10. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that the screw head has a circumferential edge on a underside of the screw head, which edge protrudes relative to a surface on the underside of the head.
- 11. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that the screw head diameter is greater at a end near the thread shaft than a diameter at an opposite end.
- 12. Self-tapping screw according to claim 1, characterized in that the screw head contains a recess for a turning tool.
- 13. Self-tapping screw consisting of a screw head, an adjacent screw shaft and a screw tip, where a first and second thread sections are formed on the screw shaft, which are separated by a thread-free section and where the threads of the first and second thread sections have different pitches, characterized in that the first thread section consists of a multiple thread, while thread portions of the first multiple-thread section has a greater pitch angle than thread portions of the second thread section close to the screw head.
- 14. Self-tapping screw according to claim 13, characterized in that the first multiple-thread section is fashioned as a double-thread section.
- 15. Self-tapping screw according to claim 13, characterized in that the threads of the first and second thread sections have a same outer thread diameter and the first and second thread sections have a same root diameter.
- 16. Self-tapping screw according to claim 13, characterized in that the threads of the second thread section on the screw tip continue to its end.
- 17. Self-tapping screw according to claim 13, characterized in that a pitch angle of the thread portions of the first second to a pitch angle of the second section is as 2:1.
- 18. Self-tapping screw according to claim 13, characterized in that the screw head has a circumferential edge on a underside of the screw head, which edge protrudes relative to a surface on the underside of the head.
- 19. Self-tapping screw according to claim 13, characterized in that the screw head diameter is greater at a end near the thread shaft than a diameter at an opposite end.
- 20. Self-tapping screw according to claim 13, characterized in that the screw head contains a recess for a turning tool.
- 21. Self-tapping screw according to claim 20, characterized in that the recess has the shape of an interior square.
- 22. Screw connection consisting of two adjacent parts to be joined, in particular consisting of a wood-plastic composite material or the like, which are joined by a self-tapping screw which is screwed into both parts, characterized in that the self-tapping screw comprises a screw head, a screw shaft adjacent to the screw head, and a screw tip, where first and second thread sections have been formed on the screw shaft and are separated by a thread-free section, and where threads of the first and second thread sections have different pitches, further characterized in that the threads of the first and second thread sections have an opposite pitch and that the thread-free section bridges the contact region of the parts to be joined.
- 23. Screw connection consisting of two adjacent parts to be joined, in particular consisting of a wood-plastic composite material or the like, which are joined by a self-tapping screw which is screwed into both parts, characterized in that the self-tapping screw comprises a screw head, an adjacent screw shaft and a screw tip, where a first and second thread sections are formed on the screw shaft, which are separated by a thread-free section and where threads of the first and second thread sections have different pitches, further characterized in that the first thread section consists of a multiple thread, while thread portions of the first multiple-thread section has a greater pitch angle than thread portions of the second thread section close to the screw head and that the thread-free section bridges the contact region of the parts to be joined.
