Claims
- 1. A method for fabricating a light emitting device comprising the steps of:
- forming a first cladding layer on a substrate;
- forming red, green and blue light emitting portions each made of II-VI semiconductor in a horizontal direction with respect to a surface of said substrate on said first cladding layer;
- forming a second cladding layer on said light emitting portions; and
- electrically separating said red, green and blue light emitting portions from each other.
- 2. A method for fabricating a light emitting device according to claim 1, wherein said red, green and blue light emitting portions are made by modifying the composition of Zn and Cd.
- 3. A method for fabricating a light emitting device according to claim 2, wherein said composition of Zn and Cd is modified by means of a mask provided above said substrate.
- 4. A method for fabricating a light emitting device according to claim 2, wherein a light shield structure is provided on said substrate and beams emitted from Zn and Cd material supply sources are irradiated onto said substrate obliquely with respect thereto to modify the compositions of Zn and Mg in said light emitting portions.
