Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to clothing items, and more specifically, to a sensory-friendly hoodie with textured and chenille patches and stretch fabric strings designed to help individuals with sensory processing challenges to self-regulate in a discrete and comfortable way.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Sensory processing challenges affect many individuals with autism, ADHD, anxiety, and other conditions, making it difficult for them to process and respond to sensory input in a typical way. Sensory-friendly clothing items have become increasingly popular as a way to help individuals with sensory processing challenges to feel more comfortable, calm, and in control. However, many existing sensory-friendly clothing items are bulky, unattractive, or stigmatizing, making it difficult for individuals to wear them in social or professional situations.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is a sensory-friendly hoodie made of 100% organic cotton and featuring unique sensory adaptations to provide discreet and effective sensory input. The hoodie includes textured and chenille patches on the lower sleeve and upper right shoulder, which provide tactile stimulation and can be used for scratching or rubbing. The hoodie also includes a fleece-lined front pocket with stretch fabric strings sewn inside, which allow sensory seekers to self-soothe in a discreet and socially acceptable way.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The sensory-friendly hoodie is made of high-quality 100% organic cotton, which is soft, breathable, and durable. The hoodie comes in a variety of colors and sizes to suit different preferences and needs.

The chenille and textured patches on the hoodie are made of high-quality chenille and textured fabric, which is soft, fluffy, and textured and provides tactile stimulation. The patches are sewn, or heat pressed onto the lower sleeve and upper right shoulder of the hoodie and can be used for scratching or rubbing as needed. The patches are securely attached to the hoodie and can withstand repeated use and washing.

The front pocket of the hoodie is lined with soft and warm fleece, which provides extra sensory input and comfort. The pocket is large enough to hold small items such as a phone, keys, or fidget toys. Inside the pocket, there are four stretch fabric strings sewn in at similar lengths and positions. The stretch fabric strings are made of soft and stretchy fabric and can be used for pulling, twisting, or squeezing as needed. The stretch fabric strings are discreetly sewn inside the pocket and are not visible from the outside of the hoodie.

In use, the sensory-friendly hoodie provides discreet and effective sensory input to individuals with sensory processing challenges. The textured and chenille patches and fleece lining provide tactile input, while the stretch fabric strings allow for self-regulation and self-soothing. The hoodie is stylish and comfortable, making it suitable for a variety of settings and occasions.
