- 4. An apparatus as in claim 1, further comprising means for applying an adhesive to the uppermost sheet.
- 5. An apparatus as in claim 4, wherein the adhesive applying means spreads the adhesive about 0.5 mm outwardly from an overlapping area covering both the effective area of the uppermost sheet and the effective area of a next sheet.
- 6. An apparatus as in claim 4, wherein the cutting means comprises a knife and the adhesive applying means comprises an electrostatic transfer means.
- 7. An apparatus as in claim 6, further comprising means for heating an entire upper surface of the stack of sheet materials.
- 8. An apparatus as in claim 7, wherein the adhesive applying means spreads the adhesive about 0.5 mm outwardly from an overlapping area covering both the effective area of the uppermost sheet and the effective area of a next sheet.
- 9. An apparatus as in claim 4, wherein adhesive applying means applies the adhesive at a pre-determined width that extends beyond an overlapping area that covers both the three-dimensional object effective area of the uppermost, sheet and a three-dimensional objective effective area of a next sheet that will be stacked on top of the uppermost sheet.
- 10. An apparatus as in claim 1, wherein the cutting means moves out of a moving path of the support surface and the stack of sheet materials when the support surface is vertically raised.
- 11. An apparatus for forming a three-dimensional object by stacking and gluing sheets together, comprising:a table arranged and constructed to move in a vertical direction and to support a stack of lower sheets, means for interposing an adhesive between the stack of lower sheets and an upper sheet that will be placed on top of the stack of lower sheets, means for pressing the upper sheet and the stack of lower sheets together with the adhesive disposed therebetween, the pressing means being disposed in a fixed position above the table and pressing the upper sheet and the stack of lower sheets against the table when the table is vertically raised, and a cutting knife cutting only the upper sheet into an effective area and a waste area without cutting the lower sheets, wherein the cutting knife is arranged and constructed to horizontally move between the pressing means and the table when the table is disposed in an upper sheet cutting position.
- 12. An apparatus as in claim 11, wherein the adhesive is pressure sensitive, and the pressing means comprises a pressurization surface for simultaneously pressurizing the entire surface of the upper sheet.
- 13. An apparatus as in claim 11, wherein the interposing means applies the adhesive to the upper sheet by electrostatic transfer.
- 14. An apparatus as in claim 11, wherein the adhesive comprises thermoplastic resins and the pressing means comprises a pressurization and heating surface for simultaneously pressurizing and heating the entire surface of the upper sheet.
- 15. An apparatus as in claim 14, wherein the adhesive is pressure sensitive and the interposing means applies the adhesive to the upper sheet by electrostatic transfer.
- 16. An apparatus as in claim 15, wherein the interposing means spreads the adhesive about 0.5 mm outwardly from an overlapping area covering both the effective area of an uppermost sheet of the stack of lower sheets and the effective area of the upper sheet.
- 17. An apparatus as in claim 11, wherein the cutting knife is arranged and constructed to move out of a moving path of the table and the stack of lower sheets when the table is vertically raised.
- 18. A sheet lamination modeling apparatus for forming a three-dimensional object by stacking sheets coated with an adhesive layer, the apparatus comprising :vertically movable table for supporting the adhesive-coated sheets, a plate having a size sufficient to pressurize the entire upper surface of the stacked sheets, the plate being fixed in position above the table, wherein the vertically movable table and the fixed plate are arranged and constructed to compress the stacked sheets between the fixed plate and the table by vertically raising the table, whereby the stacked sheets will be adhered together by the adhesive layer, a cutter disposed below the fixed plate and arranged and constructed to cut only an uppermost sheet of the stacked sheets into an effective area and a waste area, and an XY plotter disposed below the fixed plate and arranged and constructed to move said cutter within a horizontal plane at a vertical height that corresponds to the uppermost sheet of the stacked sheets when the table is in a sheet cutting position.
- 19. An apparatus as in claim 18, further comprising means for heating the plate to a temperature that activates the adhesive.
- 20. An apparatus as in claim 18, wherein the table is arranged and constructed to be lowered by a height corresponding to a thickness of one sheet every time that a new sheet is placed on the stack of sheets.
- 21. An apparatus as in claim 18, further comprising means for disposing the adhesive layer onto the sheets, wherein the adhesive is spread about 0.5 mm outwardly from an overlapping area covering both the effective area of an uppermost sheet of the stacked sheets and an effective area of a next lower sheet.
- 22. An apparatus as in claim 21, further comprising means for heating the plate to a temperature that activates the adhesive and wherein the table is arranged and constructed to be lowered by a height corresponding to a thickness of one sheet every time that a new sheet is placed on the stack of sheets.
- 23. An apparatus as in claim 18, wherein the cutter is arranged and constructed to move out of a moving path of the table and the stacked sheets when the table is vertically raised.
