The disclosure relates to brush devices and more particularly pertains to a new brush device for cleaning the sole of a shoe.
The prior art relates to brush devices.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a channel that is positioned on a top of a supporting object. A pair of bolts is provided and each of the bolts is extendable through the channel having each of the bolts extending through the supporting object. A strip is positionable on a bottom of the supporting object and each of the bolts extends through the strip. A pair of nuts is provided and each of the nuts engages a respective one of the bolts for securing the strip and the channel to the supporting object. A brush is coupled to the channel and the brush is directed upwardly. In this way a sole of a shoe can be scrubbed thereon for cleaning the sole.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A pair of bolts 26 is provided and each of the bolts 26 is extendable through the channel 12 having each of the bolts 26 extending through the supporting object 14. Each of the bolts 26 extends through the central panel 16. Additionally, each of the bolts 26 is positioned adjacent to a respective one of the first end 22 and the second end 24 of the channel 12. Each of the bolts 26 may be threaded carriage bolts with a length of at least 2.0 inches.
A strip 28 is provided and the strip 28 is positionable on a bottom 30 of the supporting object 14. The strip 28 has an upper surface 32 and a lower surface 34, and the upper surface 32 abuts the bottom 30 of the supporting object 14. Additionally, each of the bolts 26 extends through the strip 28. The strip 28 is comprised of a rigid material and the strip 28 may have a length that is at least equal to the length of the channel 12. A pair of nuts 36 is provided and each of the nuts 36 engages a respective one of the bolts 26. The nuts 36 tighten each of the channel 12 and the strip 28 against the supporting object 14. In this way the channel 12 is secured to the supporting object 14.
A brush 38 is provided and the brush 38 is coupled to the channel 12. The brush 38 is directed upwardly from the channel 12 such that a sole 40 of a shoe 42 can be scrubbed on the brush 38 for cleaning the sole 40. In this way mud, rocks, dirt and other debris can be removed from the sole 40 of the shoe 42. The shoe 42 may be a work boot, a tennis shoe or any other shoe with a sole that is worn outdoors. The brush 38 extends along a substantial length of the channel 12 thereby facilitating more than one person to clean the sole of their shoes.
The brush 38 comprises a panel 44 that has a primary end 46, a secondary end 48, a top surface 50 and a bottom surface 52. The bottom surface 52 is coupled to the central panel 16 of the channel 12. A plurality of bristles 54 is each of the bristles 54 coupled to and extends upwardly from the top surface 50 of the panel 44. The bristles 54 are distributed between the primary end 46 and the secondary end 48 of the panel 44. Additionally, the bristles 54 have a stiffness that is sufficient to abrade the mud, dirt and other debris from the sole 40 of the shoe 42 without being permanently deformed.
In use, the channel 12 and the strip 28 are each coupled to the supporting object 14 such that the brush 38 is located at a strategic location for stepping upon the brush 38. The strategic location might be next to an entry of a building or the like. The sole 40 of the shoe 42 is scrubbed on the bristles 54 to abrade the mud, dirt or other debris from the sole 40 of the shoe 42. In this way sole 40 of the shoe 42 can be cleaned before passing beyond the strategic location. Additionally, the length of the brush 38 facilitates more than one person to scrub the sole 40 of their shoe 42 at one time.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
