The present invention relates generally to clothing accessories, more specifically but not by way of limitation, a shoe protection device that is configured to extend from the top of the tongue of a shoe to the toe vamp wherein the present invention drapes over the aforementioned area providing protection thereof from falling debris.
Individuals work many types of jobs that require them to be on their feet most of the time during performing the job. Some examples of these types of jobs include but are not limited to various types of trades and service jobs. These individuals that work spending most of the day on their feet will typically invest in a higher quality footwear due to the amount of time they spend on their feet per day. These shoes help avoid foot and back pain and are essential to the workers that spend time on their feet.
While the high quality footwear does provide an improved experience, this type of footwear can cost a significant amount compared to lower quality shoes. Individuals such as cosmeticians and barbers will often wear nice shoes but these shoes can be exposed to chemical spills, hair and other debris that may harm the shoe and potentially damage them. Another issue in particular for barbers is the falling cut hair. This hair is very fine and can accumulate on the vamp and laces of the shoe which is undesirable and requires the shoe to be cleaned of the hair debris.
Accordingly, there is a need for a shoe protection device wherein the present invention can be releasably secured to the top of the tongue of the show and extend downwards towards the toe vamp providing coverage of the top of the shoe in order to inhibit debris from falling onto the shoe.
It is the object of the present invention to provide a shoe protection device that is configured to be releasably secured to a portion of a shoe wherein the present invention includes a body configured to be placed in a first position and a second position.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a shoe protector that is releasably secured to a shoe wherein the present invention further includes a storage member that is configured to receive the body in its first position.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a shoe protection device that is configured to be releasably secured to a portion of a shoe wherein the storage member is releasably secured to the top of the tongue of the shoe.
Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a shoe protector that is releasably secured to a shoe wherein the storage member includes a compartment of suitable size to store the body in its first position.
Still another object of the present invention is to provide a shoe protection device that is configured to be releasably secured to a portion of a shoe wherein in its second position the body extends from the top of the tongue of the shoe to the toe vamp so as to be draped over the top of the shoe.
An additional object of the present invention is to provide a shoe protector that is releasably secured to a shoe wherein the body includes a perimeter edge having weight members integrally formed thereinto.
Yet a further object of the present invention is to provide a shoe protection device that is configured to be releasably secured to a portion of a shoe wherein the weight members are operable to maintain the body in its second position.
To the accomplishment of the above and related objects the present invention may be embodied in the form illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Attention is called to the fact that the drawings are illustrative only. Variations are contemplated as being a part of the present invention, limited only by the scope of the claims.
A more complete understanding of the present invention may be had by reference to the following Detailed Description and appended claims when taken in conjunction with the accompanying Drawings wherein:

Referring in particular to the Figures submitted herewith, the shoe protector 100 includes a storage member 10 wherein the storage member 10 is configured to be releasably secured to the tongue 98 of the exemplary shoe 99. The storage member 10 is secured to the top of the tongue 98 of the shoe 99 utilizing suitable techniques. It is contemplated within the scope of the present invention that the storage member 10 could slide over the top of the tongue 98 or employ fastening members that secure the storage member 10 to the tongue 98. It should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the storage member 10 could be manufactured in different styles and sizes in order to accommodate various different styles of shoes.
The storage member 10 includes compartment 12 having an interior volume configured to store the body 20 therein when not in use draped over the shoe. In its first position, as illustrated herein in
Integrally formed into the perimeter edge 25 are weight members 30. The weight members 30 are secured within the perimeter edge 25 of the body 20 utilizing suitable durable techniques. The weight members 30 are elongated in shape and are operable to maintain the body 20 in its second position as the user of the walks or performs other types of movements. While no specific quantity of weight members 30 are required, a preferred embodiment of the present invention employs a weight member 30 on opposing sides of the body 20 and a third weight member 30 proximate the second end 22 of the body 20. It is further contemplated within the scope of the present invention that the perimeter edge 25 could have the weight member 30 formed substantially along the length thereof. While weight members 30 are illustrated and discussed herein being operable to maintain the body 20 in its second position, it should be understood within the scope of the present invention that the body 20 could be releasably secured in its second position employing alternate techniques and/or fasteners.
