Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to footwear. More specifically, the present invention provides a shoe having different interchangeable accessory attachments.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Many individuals enjoy wearing footwear that has aesthetically pleasing features. Children especially enjoy shoes and other footwear that provide a colorful, fun appearance. Some children's shoes resemble other objects or devices, such as airplanes, vehicles, and the like. However, these shoes often lack a way to customize their appearance. A child would enjoy the option of interchanging different accessories and decorations on the exterior of the shoe in order to vary the appearance and to create a shoe that the child enjoys wearing. Therefore, it is desirable to provide a shoe adapted to resemble a vehicle that can be customized via the attachment of different combinations of accessories, such as emblem, wheel, and headlight accessories.

In light of the devices disclosed in the known art, it is submitted that the present invention substantially diverges in design elements from the prior art and consequently it is clear that there is a need in the art for an improvement to existing footwear devices. In this regard the present invention substantially fulfills these needs.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known types of footwear now present in the prior art, the present invention provides a shoe with interchangeable accessories wherein the same can be utilized for providing convenience for the user when customizing their footwear. The shoe with interchangeable accessories comprises a sole and an upper affixed to the sole, the upper comprising a toe cap on a first end and a heel on a second end. The sole and the upper define an interior volume configured to receive a foot. An emblem recession is disposed on the toe cap, and an emblem accessory is removably secured within the emblem recession. The shoe further includes a headlight accessory having a first side and a second side, the second side having an adhesive thereon, wherein the headlight accessory is removably securable to the upper.

Other objects, features, and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Although the characteristic features of this invention will be particularly pointed out in the claims, the invention itself and manner in which it may be made and used may be better understood after a review of the following description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings wherein like numeral annotations are provided throughout.

FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the shoe with interchangeable accessories.

FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of the shoe with interchangeable accessories.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Reference is made herein to the attached drawings. Like reference numerals are used throughout the drawings to depict like or similar elements of the shoe with interchangeable accessories. For the purposes of presenting a brief and clear description of the present invention, the preferred embodiment will be discussed as used for customizing footwear. The figures are intended for representative purposes only and should not be considered to be limiting in any respect.

Referring now to FIG. 1, there is shown a perspective view of the shoe with interchangeable accessories. The shoe 10 comprises a sole 11 affixed to an upper 12. The upper 12 includes a toe cap 13 and a heel 15. The sole 11 and upper 12 define and interior volume 14 configured to receive a foot therein. In the illustrated embodiment, the shoe 10 includes laces 20 and an ankle strap 19. However, other configurations for the shoe 10 may be contemplated, such as a hook and loop shoe, slip-on shoe, or the like.

The shoe 10 includes a plurality of accessories for personalizing and customizing the appearance thereof. For example, an emblem accessory 16 is securable to a toe cap portion 13 of the upper 12. One or more headlight accessories 17 can be affixed to the toe cap portion 13. A pair of wheel accessories 18 can be secured to either side of the upper 12. In the shown embodiment, the wheel accessories 18 are flush with the outer surface 21 of the upper 12. In contrast, the emblem accessory 16 extends outward from the toe cap 13 of the upper 12, providing a three-dimensional appearance. In the shown embodiment, the emblem accessory 16 comprises a disk member having a face configured to include indicia thereon, and a lip therearound.

Referring now to FIG. 2, there is shown an exploded view of the shoe with interchangeable accessories. The headlight accessories 17 comprise a fastener such as an adhesive on a rear side thereof for securement to the toe cap 13. An emblem recession 29 is disposed on the toe cap 13. The emblem recession 29 is sized to receive the emblem accessory 16 therein. In one embodiment, an edge 27 of the emblem accessory 16 frictionally engages an edge 28 of the emblem recession. In an alternate embodiment, a rear side 26 of the emblem accessory 16 comprises a magnet and the emblem recession 29 comprises a magnetic material so that the emblem accessory 16 can be removably secured therein via magnetic attraction therebetween.

In one embodiment, a depth of the emblem recession 29 corresponds to a thickness of the emblem accessory 16, such that the emblem accessory 16 rests flush with the adjacent toe cap 13. In an alternate embodiment, the emblem accessory 16 projects outwardly between zero and five millimeters from the toe cap 13. In the shown embodiment, the emblem accessory 16 and emblem recession 29 are circular. However, the emblem accessory 16 and emblem recession 29 may be a different shape, such as triangular, rectangular, or the like. In use, an individual may interchange different emblem accessories 16 that include logos from different automobile manufacturers or other images in order to customize the shoe.

A first pair of wheel accessories 18 is securable to one side of the upper 12, while a second pair of wheel accessories 18 is securable to the opposing side thereof, such that the shoe resembles a four-wheeled vehicle. In one embodiment, a pair of wheel recessions 22 are disposed on each side of the upper 12. Each wheel accessory 18 is removably securable within a wheel recession 22 via frictional engagement between an edge 24 of the wheel accessory and an edge 23 of the wheel recession 22. In the shown embodiment, at least one of the wheel recessions 22 includes an outer edge 23 that coincides with an edge of the heel portion 15 and an edge of the sole 11. In an alternate embodiment, the wheel accessories 18 comprise an adhesive rear side 24 which is configured to adhere to the upper 12. Individuals may choose a wheel accessory 18 that depicts a certain type of wheel and may attach a different wheel accessory 18 if desired.

In use, individuals may customize the appearance of the shoe to resemble a particular vehicle or to include elements from multiple vehicles. The individual can choose a desired emblem accessory 16, a desired pair of headlights 17, and a desired set of wheel accessories 18 in order to create a personalized shoe that resembles a vehicle. Any of the accessory attachments may be interchanged with other like accessory attachments if the user wishes to alter the appearance of the shoe. In this way, the shoe can be customized to resemble any number of vehicles.

It is therefore submitted that the instant invention has been shown and described in what is considered to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is recognized, however, that departures may be made within the scope of the invention and that obvious modifications will occur to a person skilled in the art. With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
