Abstract
A shooting game machine for discharging a disk-shaped or substantially disk-shaped member made of a metal to hit a target, the shooting game machine comprising: a target provided in a casing, a simulated gun having a muzzle arranged inside the casing and adapted to discharge the flying member in such a manner that the thickness direction of the flying member substantially extends along a horizontal direction, and a detecting unit for detecting that the flying member discharged from the simulated gun has hit the target.
Description




The present invention relates to a novel shooting game machine for discharging token such as coins or medals.




BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION AND RELATED ART STATEMENT




A generally known shooting game machine is such that a bullet made of cork is loaded at a muzzle and discharged toward a target placed in front to hit it.




However, in the above known shooting game machine, the bullet itself is relatively light and its trajectory is easy to deviate from a target position while it is flying. Even if the bullet hits the target, it is often by accident, but not by a result based on a shooting ability of a game player. Therefore, the conventional shooting game tends to lack ingenuity.




SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION




In view of the problems residing in the prior art, an object of the present invention is to provide a shooting game machine capable of improving the ingenuity of a game.




In order to fulfill the above object, according to the present invention, a shooting game machine for discharging a disk-shaped or substantially disk-shaped flying member made of a metal to hit a target, comprising: a target provided in a casing, a simulated gun having a muzzle arranged inside the casing and adapted to discharge the flying member in such a manner that the thickness direction of the flying member substantially extends along a horizontal direction, and a detecting means for detecting that the flying member discharged from the simulated gun has hit the target.

Claims
  • 1. A shooting game machine for discharging a flying member having a pair of generally flat surfaces arranged generally parallel with one another and spaced apart from one another by a thickness, the flying member being made of a metal to hit a target, the shooting game machine comprising:a target provided in a casing; a simulated gun having a muzzle arranged inside the casing and adapted to discharge the flying member in such a manner that generally flat surfaces of the flying member are maintained substantially parallel with a vertical plane extending co-directionally with a trajectory of the flying member; and detecting means for detecting that the flying member discharged from the simulated gun has hit the target.
  • 2. A shooting game machine according to claim 1, wherein a plurality of targets which are movable are provided in the casing.
  • 3. A shooting game machine according to claim 2, wherein the targets are arranged in one transverse row when viewed from a game player or in a plurality of transverse rows shifted in forward and backward directions and are transversely movable.
  • 4. A shooting game machine according to claim 3, wherein scores given for hitting the targets differ in the respective rows of the targets.
  • 5. A shooting game machine according to claim 4 wherein a higher score is given when the flying member hits the target located at a backward position than when it hits the target located at a forward position.
  • 6. A shooting game machine according to claim 2, wherein the targets are arranged in a plurality of rows shifted in forward and backward directions when viewed from a game player and movement patterns of the respective rows of targets differ.
  • 7. A shooting game machine according to claim 1, wherein the targets are a plurality of targets having a generally flattened configuration and an opening is formed in at least one of said plurality of targets for permitting passage of the flying member therethrough.
  • 8. A shooting game machine for discharging a flying member having a pair of generally flat surfaces arranged generally parallel with one another and spaced apart from one another by a thickness, the flying member being made of a metal to hit a target, the shooting game machine comprising:a target provided in a casing; a simulated gun having a muzzle arranged inside the casing and adapted to discharge the flying member in such a manner that the generally flat surfaces of the flying member are maintained substantially parallel with a vertical plane extending co-directionally with a trajectory of the flying member; an interfering plate disposed in a position before the targets when viewed from a game player; and detecting means for detecting that the flying member discharged from the simulated gun has hit the target.
  • 9. A shooting game machine according to claim 8 wherein the interfering plate is transversely movable when viewed from the game player.
  • 10. A shooting game machine according to claim 9 wherein a movement pattern of the interfering plate differs from that of the targets.
  • 11. A shooting game machine for discharging a flying member having a pair of generally flat surfaces arranged generally parallel with one another and spaced apart from one another by a thickness, the flying member being made of a metal to hit a target, the shooting game machine comprising:a casing; a plurality of targets which are movable provided in the casing, the targets being arranged in a plurality of transverse rows shifted in forward and backward directions, the targets being transversely movable, scores given for hitting the targets differing in respective rows of the targets, a higher score being given when the flying member hits one of the targets located at a backward position than when it hits another of the targets located at a forward position, the targets including at least one target having a generally flattened configuration with an opening formed therein for permitting passage of the flying member therethrough, a higher score being given when the flying member passes through the opening than when it hits said at least one target; a simulated gun having a muzzle arranged inside the casing and adapted to discharge the flying member in such a manner that the generally flat surfaces of the flying member are maintained substantially parallel with a vertical plane extending co-directionally with a trajectory of the flying member; and detecting means for detecting that the flying member discharged from the simulated gun has hit the target.
  • 12. A shooting game machine according to claim 11, wherein a score given when the flying member passes through the opening is a progressive score accumulated each time said at least one target is hit by the flying member until the flying member passes through the opening again after passing through the opening a previous time.
