The disclosure relates to towel devices and more particularly pertains to a new towel device for enhancing hygiene and shield a user by positioning the towel device on the user.
The prior art relates to towel devices.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a towel that is worn around a user's neck. For example, this may be when the user is seated in a chair to shield the user while being shaved and allowing the shaver to wipe shaving tools on the towel assembly. The towel has a collar portion that is wrapped around the user's neck. A plurality of fasteners is coupled to the collar portion for retaining the collar portion around the user's neck. A double sided adhesive strip is attached to the towel. The double sided adhesive strip releasably adheres to the user's neck when the towel is wrapped around the user's neck. A flap is coupled to the towel and the flap is tucked into a collar of the user's shirt when the towel is wrapped around the user's neck.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The towel 12 has a top surface 15, a bottom surface 16 and a perimeter edge 17 extending therebetween, front side 18, a back side 19, a first lateral side 20 and a second lateral side 22. Each of the front 18 and back 19 sides is concavely arcuate between each of the first 20 and second 22 lateral sides. The back side 19 is wrapped around the user's neck 14 has the first lateral side 20 overlapping the second lateral side 22 thereby facilitating the towel 12 to cover the user's shoulders, chest and back. The towel 12 has a collar portion 21 that can be wrapped around the user's neck 14. The collar portion 21 extends upwardly from the top surface 15 of the towel 12 and the collar portion 21 is coextensive with the back side 19 of the perimeter edge 17.
A plurality of fasteners 23 is provided and each of the fasteners 23 is coupled to the towel. The fasteners 23 are positioned on the collar portion 21 for securing the collar portion 21 around the user's neck 14. The plurality of fasteners 23 is positioned on a first surface 24 of the collar portion 21. The fasteners 23 are spaced apart from each other and are distributed along the first surface. The plurality of fasteners 23 includes a set of first fasteners 25 and a set of second fasteners 26. Each of the first 25 and second 26 fasteners is positioned on the first surface 24 of the collar portion 21. Selectable ones of the first fasteners 25 releasably engage selectable ones of the second fasteners 26 for retaining the collar portion 21 in a closed loop of a selectable diameter to accommodate varying diameters of user's necks. The plurality of fasteners 23 may comprise releasable fasteners that include, but not be limited to, buttons, snaps or other similar type of releasable fastener.
A double sided adhesive strip 30 is attached to the towel 12, the double sided adhesive strip 30 is aligned with the back side 19 and the double sided adhesive strip 30 is coextensive with the back side 19. The double sided adhesive strip 30 releasably adheres to the user's neck 14 when the towel 12 is wrapped around the user's neck 14. Additionally, the double sided adhesive strip 30 is positioned on the bottom surface 16 of the towel 12. The double sided adhesive strip 30 may be comprised of a skin grade adhesive that can be removed from the user's skin without injuring the user.
A flap 32 is coupled to the towel 12, the flap 32 is aligned with the back side 19 and the flap 32 is coextensive with the back side 19. The flap 32 is tucked into a collar of the user's shirt when the towel 12 is wrapped around the user's neck 14. In this way the flap 32 inhibits debris or things from entering the collar of the user's shirt. The flap 32 is positioned on the bottom surface 26 of the towel 12.
In an alternative embodiment 34 as shown in
Each of the panels 38 has a top edge 48 and the top edge 48 of each of the panels 38 is coupled to the first surface 46 of the band 36. Moreover, the top edge 48 of each of the panels 38 is oriented to be collinear with the upper edge 44 of the band 36. The top edge 48 of each of the panels 38 is aligned with the double sided adhesive strip 30. Each of the panels 38 is positioned on top of and extends along a respective one of the user's shoulders when the band 36 is wrapped around the user's neck 14.
In use, as an example, the towel 12 is positioned on top of a traditional barber's towel when the user is getting a shave. The towel 12 is positioned around the user's neck 14 and the flap 32 is tucked beneath the collar of the user's shirt. The back side 19 of the towel 12 is wrapped around the user's neck 14 and the double sided adhesive strip 30 adhesively engages the user's skin. In this way the double sided adhesive strip 30 and the flap 32 inhibit whiskers or hair clippings from passing through the collar of the user's shirt. The material of which the towel 12 is constructed allows the barber or stylist to wipe their tools, such as a razor or scissors, on the towel 12 for cleaning shaving cream or the like from the tools. In this way the tools can be cleaned, as well as facilitating fluids, such as blood from a cut on the user, to be wiped away and absorbed. The towel 12 is disposed of when the towel 12 is removed from the user.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
