Silicone Bottle Cap

Abstract
Embodiments of the invention relate generally to a silicone bottle cap comprising a silicone cap whose lower end is open and expanded. Inside the cap there are more than two circular sealing ribs, which are screwed with the threads on the outside of the mouth of the bottle to be sealed. The whole cap is made of silicone, which is a material of flexibility and elasticity. The bottle cap is placed above the bottle mouth and pressed downward to seal the bottle. The circular sealing ribs inside the cap can be screwed with the thread on the outside of the bottle cap. Therefore, the bottle cap will not easily fall off, and the sealing effect is improved. To remove the bottle cap, the lower end of the cap is flapped and the cap is pulled upwards. The bottle cap is easy to use.

DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART

The background description provided herein is for the purpose of generally presenting the context of the disclosure of the invention. Work of the presently named inventors, to the extent the work is described in this background section, as well as aspects of the description that may not otherwise qualify as prior art at the time of filing, are neither expressly nor impliedly admitted as prior art against this present disclosure of the invention.

Bottle is one of the most common containers in daily life. Bottle is generally made of glass or plastic. To facilitate the pouring in and out of liquid, the cap should be fitted with the mouth of the bottle. FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 show traditional connections between bottle and cap. Cap 01 is composed of cap 011 and sealing plate 012, both of which are made of metal. The sealing plate 012 covers the mouth of bottle 100; the cap 011 is screwed with the thread on the outside of the mouth of the bottle. The sealing plate 012 is tightened inside the cap 011. It is apparent that the traditional bottle cap is not easy to use and the sealing effect is poor. Some improvements are necessary.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

In the following detailed description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth to provide a thorough understanding of the various embodiments of the present invention. Those of ordinary skill in the art will realize that these various embodiments of the present invention are illustrative only and are not intended to be limiting in any way. Other embodiments of the present invention will readily suggest themselves to such skilled persons having the benefit of this disclosure.

In addition, for clarity purposes, not all of the routine features of the embodiments described herein are shown or described. One of ordinary skill in the art would readily appreciate that in the development of any such actual implementation, numerous implementation-specific decisions may be required to achieve specific design objectives. These design objectives will vary from one implementation to another and from one developer to another. Moreover, it will be appreciated that such a development effort might be complex and time-consuming, but would nevertheless be a routine engineering undertaking for those of ordinary skill in the art having the benefit of this disclosure. The various embodiments disclosed herein are not intended to limit the scope and spirit of the herein disclosure.

Exemplary embodiments for carrying out the principles of the present invention are described herein with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the specifically described and illustrated embodiments. A person skilled in the art will appreciate that many other embodiments are possible without deviating from the basic concept of the invention. Therefore, the principles of the present invention extend to any work that falls within the scope of the appended claims.

As used herein, the terms “a” and “an” herein do not denote a limitation of quantity, but rather denote the presence of at least one of the referenced items.

In the following description and in the claims, the terms “include” and “comprise” are used in an open-ended fashion, and thus should be interpreted to mean “include, but not limited to . . . ”. Also, the term “couple” (or “coupled”) is intended to mean either an indirect or direct connection. Accordingly, if one device is coupled to another device, then that connection may be through a direct connection, or through an indirect connection via other components and/or other connections.

The purpose of the intention is to provide a new type of silicone bottle cap that is an improvement of the current technique. The new bottle cap has the features of simple structure, easy operation, and good sealing effect.

To achieve the above-mentioned features, the silicone bottle cap invented comprises a silicone cap, with its lower end open and expanded, more than two circular sealing ribs inside the cap which are screwed with the thread on the outside of the mouth of the bottle.

Preferably, as an alternative to the above technical scheme, the lower end of the cap is equipped with an outward-turning lace.

Preferably, as an alternative scheme, the lace has a wave-like shape.

Preferably, as an alternative scheme, the inside of the cap has parallel sealing ribs.

Preferably, as an alternative scheme, the top of the cap is closed.

Preferably, as an alternative scheme, the top of cap has a closed site of insertion.

Preferably, as an alternative scheme, the top of the cap has hollowed-out holes.

The benefits of the invention lie in the following aspects: since the whole bottle cap is made of silicone which is flexible and elastic, the bottle can be sealed by pressing downward the cap onto the mouth of the bottle directly. In addition, the circular sealing ribs inside the cap can be screwed with the threads on the outside of the mouth of the bottle. Therefore, the bottle cap will not easily fall off and the sealing effect can be improved. To remove the bottle cap, the lower end of the cap is flapped and the cap is pulled upwards. The bottle cap is very easy to use.

As shown in FIGS. 3 to 6, the silicone bottle cap consists of a silicone cap 10, which is cylindrical. The lower end of the cap is open and expanded, with an outward-turning lace 12, which makes it easy for the cap 10 to fit the mouth of the bottle 100. Lace 12 is wave-like. To remove the bottle cap, the lace 12 is flapped and the cap is pulled upwards. Then the bottle cap can be separated from the mouth of bottle 100.

Inside the bottle cap 10 there are two circular sealing ribs 11 parallel with each other. The sealing ribs 11 are screwed with the threads 101 on the outside of the mouth of the bottle 100. Due to the special features of silicone, the cap 10 can tightly envelope the mouth of the bottle. Even when the bottle 100 is inverted and shaken violently, the liquid in the bottle 100 will not leak out.

For beverage bottles, the top of the cap 10 can be made with closed site of insertion 13, as shown in FIG. 3. The site of insertion 13 is cross-like. When the straw is not inserted in, the site of insertion 13 is closed, and the liquid in bottle 100 will not leak out.

Furthermore, the top of the cap 10 can be made with hollowed-out hole 14. This design is suitable for bottle used for cultivating flowers. The bottle cap of such design is also easy to use.

The above content is only preferred embodiments of the present invention, for the person of ordinary skill in the art, according to the present invention ideas, in a specific embodiment and application scopes will change place, the contents of this manual should not be interpreted for limiting the present invention.

The above description of illustrated embodiments of the invention, including what is described in the Abstract, is not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed. While specific embodiments of, and examples for, the invention are described herein for illustrative purposes, various equivalent modifications are possible within the scope of the invention, as those skilled in the relevant art will recognize.

These modifications can be made to the invention in light of the above detailed description. The terms used in the following claims should not be construed to limit the invention to the specific embodiments disclosed in the specification and the claims. Rather, the scope of the invention is to be determined entirely by the following claims, which are to be construed in accordance with established doctrines of claim interpretation.
