Claims
- 1. A silicone phosphobetaine which conforms to the following structure; ##STR18## wherein R is ##STR19## a is an integer from 0 to 200; b is an integer from 0 to 200;
- c is an integer from 1 to 200;
- R.sup.1 is selected from --(CH.sub.2).sub.n CH.sub.3 or phenyl;
- n is an integer from 0 to 10;
- R.sup.2 is --(CH.sub.2).sub.3 --(OCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2)x--(OCH.sub.2 CH(CH.sub.3))y--(OCH.sub.2 CH.sub.2)z--OH;
- x, y and z are independently integers ranging from 0 to 20;
- e is an integer ranging from 1 to 2;
- f is 0 or 1 with the proviso that e+f=2;
- M is selected from H, Na, K, Li or NH.sub.4 ;
- R.sup.3 is selected from ##STR20## R.sup.4 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms; R.sup.5 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.6 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.7 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.8 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.9 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.10 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.11 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- m, n, and o are independently integers each ranging from 0 to 20.
- 2. A compound of claim 1 wherein;
- R.sup.3 is ##STR21## R.sup.4 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms; R.sup.5 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.6 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms.
- 3. A compound of claim 1 wherein;
- R.sup.3 is ##STR22## R.sup.7 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms; R.sup.8 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms;
- R.sup.9 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms.
- 4. A compound of claim 1 wherein;
- R.sup.3 is ##STR23## R.sup.10 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms; m, n, and o are independently integers each ranging from 0 to 20.
- 5. A compound of claim 1 wherein
- R.sup.3 is ##STR24## R.sup.11 is alkyl having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms.
- 6. A compound of claim 2 wherein
- a is an integer from 10 to 100;
- b is an integer from 10 to 100;
- c is an integer from 5 to 20.
- 7. A compound of claim 3 wherein
- a is an integer from 10 to 100;
- b is an integer from 10 to 100;
- c is an integer from 5 to 20.
- 8. A compound of claim 4 wherein
- a is an integer from 10 to 100;
- b is an integer from 10 to 100;
- c is an integer from 5 to 20.
- 9. A compound of claim 5 wherein
- a is an integer from 10 to 100;
- b is an integer from 10 to 100;
- c is an integer from 5 to 20.
- 10. A compound of claim 2 wherein x, y and z are independently integers ranging from 1 to 10.
- 11. A compound of claim 3 wherein x, y and z are independently integers ranging from 1 to 10.
- 12. A compound of claim 4 wherein x, y, and z are independently integers ranging from 1 to 10.
- 13. A compound of claim 5 wherein x, y and z are independently integers ranging from 1 to 10.
- 14. A compound of claim 2 wherein R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are each CH3; R.sup.6 is alkyl having between 12 and 18 carbon atoms.
- 15. A compound of claim 3 wherein R.sup.8 and R.sup.9 are each CH3; R.sup.7 is alkyl having between 12 and 18 carbon atoms.
- 16. A compound of claim 4 wherein m, n and o are independently integers from 0 to 5; R.sup.10 is alkyl having between 12 and 18 carbon atoms.
- 17. A compound of claim 5 wherein R.sup.11 is alkyl having between 12 and 18 carbon atoms.
