Claims
- 1. A silver-carboxylate/1,2-diazine compound having the formula: ##STR7## wherein: R.sup.1 is either an alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, or alkenyl group of up to 29 carbon atoms; or an aryl group of up to 14 carbon atoms; and
- and R.sup.2 represents either hydrogen, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group fused to the 1,2-diazine ring, or the atoms necessary to complete a 6-membered aromatic ring fused to the 1,2-diazine ring;
- wherein one or more of said groups of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may be substituted with hydroxyl, alkoxy, vinyl, phenyl, halogen, cyano, nitro, amino, or carboxyl.
- 2. The compound according to claim 1 wherein R.sup.1 is either an alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, or alkenyl group of from 9 to 29 carbon atoms or an aryl group of up to 10 carbon atoms.
- 3. The compound according to claim 2 wherein R.sup.1 is either an alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl, or alkenyl group of from 14 to 27 carbon atoms.
- 4. The compound according to claim 1 wherein R.sup.2 represents the atoms necessary to complete a 6-membered aromatic ring fused to a 1,2-diazine ring.
