Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention is related to a garment hanger, and more particularly to a skid-proof garment hanger.

2. Description of the Prior Art

There are various types of garment hangers available in the markets. Generally, in order to achieve an objective of preventing garments from sliding on the garment hangers, skid-proof members are provided on the garment hangers. Referring to FIG. 1, the drawing shows a typical conventional structure of a skid-proof garment hanger 1 comprising a main body 10 having a middle portion 12 and a pair of shoulders 11, 11′, the upper surface of each shoulder is provided with a receiving space 13 and a skid-proof member 14, the surface of the skid-proof member 14 is provided with a length of skid-proof knurl, the skid-proof member 14 is received in its corresponding receiving space 13.

In the above structure of skid-proof garment hanger 1, each shoulder includes a supporting portion 15 and a bending portion 16. The preferred length of the receiving space 13 includes a portion of the supporting portion 15 and a portion the bending portion 16 of the shoulder 11 (11′), and the length of the skid-proof member 14 is determined in pursuance of the length of the receiving space 13, so that when a garment is hung on the skid-proof garment hanger 1, the garment and the skid-proof member 14 on the skid-proof garment hanger 1 can abrade each other to achieve an effect of preventing the garment from sliding off.

The typical conventional skid-proof garment hanger 1 generally is integrally formed by plastic injection molding, while the skid-proof members 14 also are formed by plastic injection molding, however, the material of the skid-proof members 14 is different from that of the main body 10 of the skid-proof garment hanger 1, the two members are formed separately and then are connected mutually. Generally the mode of connecting is: to apply toluene on the surfaces of the receiving spaces 13 to corrode the upper surfaces of the receiving spaces 13 to thereby form adhesive. Then one end 141 of each skid-proof member 14 is pressed into the corresponding one of the receiving spaces 13, then the other end 142 of each skid-proof member 14 is pressed subsequently into the corresponding one of the receiving spaces 13, the adhesive completely and tightly sticks the skid-proof members 14 to the receiving spaces 13, and manufacturing of the skid-proof garment hanger 1 is completed.

However, the above connecting method and the above structure has the following problems:

(1) The length of each skid-proof member 14 formed by plastic injection molding is not quite identical; thereby the length of each skid-proof member 14 is unable to be matched previously with the length of each corresponding receiving space 13. Once the length of a skid-proof member 14 is too long, when the skid-proof member 14 is placed to being received in the receiving space 13, one end of it will be cocked.

(2) Although toluene will flow down to corrode and dissolve the upper surfaces of the receiving spaces 13 to form adhesive when it is applied on the surfaces of the receiving spaces 13, however, because the surfaces of the receiving spaces 13 on the conventional garment hanger 1 are generally plain, they can not afford much dissolution of toluene, thereby adhesive formed is insufficient, thus the skid-proof members 14 are unable to be tightly stuck and received in the receiving spaces 13.

(3) The lengths of preferred receiving spaces 13 are supposed to include a portion of the supporting portions 15 and a portion of the bending portions 16 of the shoulders 11, 11′, thereby when in manufacturing the skid-proof garment hanger 1, the skid-proof members 14 are placed into the receiving spaces 13, now the adhesive not yet sticks to the skid-proof members 14 completely received in the receiving spaces 13, hence the ends 142 of the skid-proof members 14 can not be bent along the bending portions 16, so that the ends 142 of the skid-proof members 14 will be cocked. And in manufacturing, generally the cocked ends 142 of the skid-proof members 14 shall be pressed to hold with fingers for about 10 seconds, until the adhesive sticks to the skid-proof members 14 completely in the receiving spaces 13. However, this must increase the time for manufacturing the skid-proof garment hanger 1.

In order to solve the above stated problems, the present invention is developed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIG. 2 showing the appearance of a preferred embodiment of a skid-proof garment hanger 2 of the present invention, wherein the skid-proof garment hanger 2 mainly comprises a main body 20 and two skid-proof members 30. The main body 20 has a middle portion 21 and two shoulders 22, 22′, the middle portion 21 has a hooking member 23; the two shoulders 22, 22′ are formed to extend from the middle portion 21 to two lateral ends.

The main body 20 is in a shape of “I”, triangle or any other shape that can suitably support a garment on the main body 20. The main body 20 can be formed by plastic injection molding, or made of solid and durable material.

Referring to FIG. 3, the shoulder 22 shown includes a supporting portion 24 and a bending portion 25. The upper surface of the shoulder 22 has a receiving space 26 for receiving a skid-proof member 30 therein. The length of the receiving space 26 should be long enough, the preferred length of the receiving space 26 includes a portion of the supporting portion 24 and a portion of the bending portion 25 of the shoulder 22, and the length of the skid-proof member 30 is determined in pursuance of the length of the receiving space 26, so that when a garment is hung on the skid-proof garment hanger 2, the garment and the skid-proof member 30 on the skid-proof garment hanger 2 can abrade each other to achieve the effect of preventing the garment from sliding off.

Referring to FIG. 4A, the receiving space 26 shown has on its one end an engaging slot; the engaging slot preferably extends through the shoulder to form a through hole 27. The preferred position of the through hole 27 is that in one end of the receiving space 26 and the end is near the bending portion 25.

The upper surface of the receiving space 26 has a dissolution portion 28 dissolvable by a kind of solvent (such as toluene), the dissolution portion 28 extends in the upper surface of the receiving space 26 for a height “H”, hence the dissolution portion 28 can form more adhesive after dissolution. Preferably, the dissolution portion 28 is given with dissolvable protrusions 281 at the middle of the receiving space 26 and its one end, more adhesive can be formed after dissolution of the dissolution portion 28 and the dissolvable protrusions 281, thus the skid-proof member 30 is tightly stuck into the receiving space 26. And more, by having more adhesive, it is no need to worry about insufficiency of the adhesive after dissolution to add more solvent (toluene), thereby the process of sticking the skid-proof member 30 will be faster, and the sufficient adhesive can make firmer of the sticking of the skid-proof member 30.

Referring again to FIGS. 3 and 4A, the receiving space 26 has on its one end an engaging block 29 for engagement of the engaging block 29 with an end 301 of the skid-proof member 30.

The skid-proof member 30 has on its surface a length of skid-proof knurl. The skid-proof member 30 generally is made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR) by injection forming. The length of the skid-proof member 30 is determined in pursuance of the length of the receiving space 26, but the length of the skid-proof member 30 formed by injection normally has errors. The engaging slot (through hole 27) now can be used to offset the error in order that the overlong skid-proof member 30 can be inserted into the engaging slot (through hole 27).

Accordingly, with the skid-proof garment hanger of the present invention, the skid-proof garment hanger can be fast manufactured, the method is as bellow: using a kind of solvent to dissolve the dissolution portion 28 and the dissolvable protrusions 281 on the upper surfaces of the receiving spaces 26, so that adhesive being formed after all or part of the dissolution portion 28 and the dissolvable protrusions 281 being dissolved; then inserting one end of each skid-proof member 30 into a corresponding engaging slot (through hole 27), and then the other end 301 of each skid-proof member 30 being pressed subsequently into the corresponding one of the receiving spaces 26 to engage with the corresponding one of the engaging blocks 29, thus the adhesive tightly sticking the skid-proof members 30 in the receiving spaces 26.

The present invention thereby has the following advantages:

    • 1. The skid-proof garment hanger can match with skid-proof members of various lengths, and can prevent one end of any skid-proof member from cocking.
    • 2. The present invention further has dissolution portions dissolvable by a kind of solvent; the dissolution portions can form more adhesive after dissolution, thus the skid-proof members are tightly stuck into the receiving spaces.
    • 3. With the skid-proof garment hanger of the present invention, the skid-proof garment hanger can be fast assembled without pressing the skid-proof members for any more minute for curing and sticking of the adhesive.

In conclusion, according to the description disclosed above and the drawings shown, the present invention surely can achieve the expected objective thereof to provide a structure of skid-proof garment hanger able to be fast assembled and a method for manufacturing the skid-proof garment hanger.

The stated above is only for illustrating the embodiment and the technical measures of the present invention, it will be apparent to those skilled in this art that various equivalent modifications or changes according to the disclosing or teaching of and without departing from the spirit of this invention shall also fall within the scope of the appended claims.
